Sounds funny but it's true.  We were asked to strip naked ..................... By the way, the eye exam conducted is called Visual Acuity test. I hope, Tayotom, this answers your question.  OJ Stripping naked for the EYES of DMP
..................anybody reading this please be cautioned about it and select a female DMP to avoid embarrassment.
Mitali Dear friends I am surprised at the procedure followed by DMPs. Isn't it that CIO must have given a laid down procedure for Medical examination, which will be same for all countries (& their citizens/residents). I fully agree with the reasons for a complete physical examination. But the same is NOT conducted in India.....  - Blood sample for CBP & for HIV - Urine sample - Xray of chest (clothed, no jewellery) - Body response on various scales ..... ..... like height, weight, BP..etc...... - If glases/specs, then the power ...but no eye testing. - & finally a general examination / queries by DMP .... BUT NO physical examination of private parts!! This IS surprising ...... Choose your DMP carefully. Cheers, aNil |

In all, it took us less than an hour to complete the medical examination (with my 3 dependants in tow). The test is pretty fast. The time killer is the long wait (for our turn) and filling out of forms! This is not an indication though.. Duration may vary from country to country or DMP to DMP. ...............
3. Physical exam (BP taking, checked pulse and heart beat using stethoscope, some questions on medical history, checked presence of scars/tatoo in the body, checked private parts and anus)
4. Urinalysis - (asked to take a urine sample) TIP: Drink lots of water before the test! Bring bottled water to be sure.
5. Extracted blood sample
6. X-ray (Chest only)

Waiting for in process is the most ardous task as nobody can predict how long will it take after RBVO. There are applicants who applied in March 2011 and already got their PCC, MR, RPRF and on the other side Sep Oct 2010 applicants who are still in RBVO. God help us all for a swift processing, Mine has been RBVO since 12th August 11 and it already seems ages have gone by |
