Hi Ontario Journey and others,
probably you are done with the medicals, just want you to share each and every test that you need to undergo, each n every physical check up that doctor does, any x-rays and scans if at all they are done, and roughly how much time does it take for complete medical to be done !!thanks

Hasni, In all, it took us less than an hour to complete the medical examination (with my 3 dependants in tow). The test is pretty fast. The time killer is the long wait (for our turn) and filling out of forms! This is not an indication though.. Duration may vary from country to country or DMP to DMP. Depends also on the procedures and influx of applicants going to take the same medical test, especially if the manpower resources of the DMP is limited. The latter is the culprit in our case.. In so far as the medical test is concerned, we were subjected to the following procedures (in this order): 1. Height & Weight taking 2. Eye exam - I forgot how they call that test, but you will be asked to read various sizes of alphabet letters at a distance 3. Physical exam (BP taking, checked pulse and heart beat using stethoscope, some questions on medical history, checked presence of scars/tatoo in the body, checked private parts and anus) 4. Urinalysis - (asked to take a urine sample) TIP: Drink lots of water before the test! Bring bottled water to be sure. 5. Extracted blood sample 6. X-ray (Chest only) I hope this helps. Goodluck on your medicals! OJ

Sounds funny but it's true. We were asked to strip naked for the doctor to check the private parts. The doctor just glances down at genitals and that's it! The procedure is pretty quick! I don't know what for as I'm not a medical practitioner... But I think if I based on my previous encounters with the doctors, they are doing that procedure in the physical exam to check for the presence of masses or lumps in breast (for the female), hernia (for the male) and hemorrhoids (for anus). Just my recollection.. Doctors in this forum may add, or correct me if i'm wrong... By the way, the eye exam conducted is called Visual Acuity test. I hope, Tayotom, this answers your question. OJ

our medical has just been sent last aug 16 to CEM. have you tried checking with your bank regarding your RPRF payment if it has been encashed already? di ba you used MC in pesos? what's the status na? did you use the address with the visa section indicated or the PO box address?

Annjay, I've used MC to pay for the RPRF, and mail it out to the CEM address (i.e. RCBC Tower). Do not use the PO box address. I didn't bother to check whether it has been encashed already. OJ

Wish you all the best as you look towards starting a new life in Canada Hi OJ, It was just funny but sounded crazy, but who are weThanks OJ,

He seniors/friends
i applied for FSW under NOC code 631 on Feb 2011 and got my ECAS status "In process" on May 31, 2011, but almost after 3 months it's still "In process" , I just want to ask how much time they take at this step OR is the any problem with my case.
and the second thing is where the outline of ECAS steps is given they state that:
VISA OFFICE ELIGIBILITY REVIEW COMPLETE -Visa Office - Eligibility Review Complete The review of the application and supporting documents has been completed at the visa office. A letter with additional information has been mailed.
but when my Visa eligibilty was completed i didn't get any Mail or hard copy letter.
Please reply "A letter with additional information has been mailed" what does this mean. What type of information is this.
Please Please Reply
