HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Where is everybody? Come celebrate with me....I got my PER today!!!! 3rd August 2011... MANDIE, WHERE ARE YOU? I am unable to know my status though CAS. Is it too early for me to know it through CAS or i am not entering the correct data, my PER shows two nos, one is UCI and other one is application no.Also about the identification type, what type i am supposed to choose !!

You need to use the UCI and then select client ID/unique client identifier option...Mandie |

i sent my application and received by the cio on 25 feb 2011
they encashed my cc on 2 march 2011
up to first of july 2011 i got neither e mail nor mail from cio about my status
i became worry and according to the advice of some friends on forum i sent to them enquiry
the cio replied by giving me application number E0000 then 5 numbers
and stated that my application is awaiting review by an officer
i used this application number as file number on cio electronic site to check my status unhopfully
the surprise that i found the following
we received your application on 25 feb
we reviewed your application and sent you a letter on 31 march plz consider delay in mail delivery before contacting us ( my status till now eligability review complete)
i sent to cio another e mail asked how come to write that eligability review complete and u sent me a letter and i got nothing by mail or e mail till now
they replied as follow
No letter has been sent. Notification will be sent upon completion of the assessment of the file. It will be sent via the e-mail address on your application.
The online system (E-CAS) is a computer system that automatically updates during key periods throughout the creation and assessment of your file. However, at times the information that is transferred to the E-CAS system is erroneous. This issue has been brought to the attention of the appropriate party for resolution.
Thank you for your patience.
really i dont know what is happening ?
is the number they sent to me staring with E is my file number and if it is my file number does that mean that i got positive eligability review or i have to wait to have positive or negative decision
some people said that the next step will be received by visa office (my visa office is cairo ,egypt)
i contacted the visa office in egypt and asked if they received my application ,they said they havenot received my file till first of august
any similar situation or any one can explain and advice

@ faithmd, you have almost done it dear, great news and best of luck @ mandie, still its not coming,after i put the data, it says that UCI number is an eight digit number where there should be a hyphen after four digits, eg 3252-1205 BUT the UCI number i received with the PER does not have any hyphen in the middle, its just straight 8 digits !! pls suggest ?? |

Mine is also an 8 digit code which works perfectly. Recheck to ensure u haven't made a mistake. Also ensure you select the cliet id/unique client identifier. Your name as on application, DoB and place of birth....hope it works...Mandie |

The date mentioned in the ecas is the date the decision was made (NER/PER). Some get the decision (via e-mail) on the same date, others, like yourself, get the e-mail later. So it should not be an issue....Mandie |
