Alizia I agree - great to see some positive movement in the May forum. Feel like the wait will be over soon - just this forum is keeping me sane.

How is your docs collection coming along?
well i am almost done as i just have to collect my PCC
and hopefully i will get it on Monday rest all documents are ready
now i m a bit upset as few questions are in my mind

1. do we have to send landing permit fee along with documents

2. do we have to send degrees in original or only notrized copies
(Transcripts are required to be original)

3. i took money from my father for my bank statement and it was transferred on
8th of july. in some forums ppl are saying that statement should be maintanied
at-lest for 3 months. should i wait till sep to submit my documents or this statement
will do the needful. My previous statement shows only salary transactions

4. and lastly how to make final package(arrangement of documents) for submittion.
For CIO we just completed our forms and submitted them, now we have to arrange them in some sequence
almost 30 to 40 documents are there to be submitted
so how to make sets

Yeah India PCC is juat a matter of a day but we need the AOR before they will issue it - very straight forward though - US state ones are easier - I have all of those - now praying that the FBI clearance gets in on time. :|

Hello Smithac,
Hope you got the FBI clearance by now.

I am trying to take PCC for Kansas state. Did you take finger print based checks for US states as well?
Thanks,

thanks everyone!  i was really relieved when i checked my cc and saw the charges. before i was so scared because i overlooked the correct amount to put in the proof of fund.  i was supposed to fill the amount for 4 members but mistakenly wrote the amount for 3.  now, i just have to review and take my ielts test.  haven't done it yet. also, im still in the process for collecting all the requirements.

Just to verify- are these the only documents needed to be submitted in original forms?
-  birth certificates, marriage certificates
- transcript of records (in sealed envelopes)
- ielts results
- police clearance

how about proof of funds?  are the rest should be ctc and notarized?

Hi JPMA,
Find below responses to your concerns;

1. Copies of Birth Certificates of Applicant spouse and all dependent children

2. Copy of Marriage Certificate.

3. Copy of all the educational documents, sealed transcripts from educational institute. You must send degree or diplomas along with transcripts of the Principal Applicant and Spouse. These Education documents must be notarized.

4. Original of the IELTS result (copy is not accepted).

5. Original Police clearance certificate for all family members who have resided anywhere in the world for six or more than six months after the age of 18.

6. Proof of unencumbered and readily available transferable funds in a convertible currency available for settlement in Canada (for you and your family members). Provide a bank statement from the past 12 months. These funds must be available for you and your dependents, whether they are accompanying or not. The amount is as follows,
Principal Applicant: C$ $11,086.00 and additional $3,000.00 for each dependant

Best wishes

thank you olabisi!  I guess i still have to prepare a lot of documents.  I am a little bit confuse about the Personal Worth Assessment.  do we have to provide proofs for all assets declared?  is that the same with the proof of funds we have to bring to Canada?

Hi JPMA,
Personal Worth Assessment is at the tail end of the immigration process, that is when you are about to land in Canada. You are expected to complete some set of forms for all the assets you are bringing to Canada.
Your proof of funds(statements of bank accounts balances; whether in savings accounts, fixed deposit or certificates) is part of the essential documentation to CHC to process the PR Visa.

Nope i havent recd my FBI clearance yet but its currently taking around 14 weeks so not extremely worried.
For Kansas check the state dept website, the fingerprint req varies from state to state for example for Pennsylvania we didnt have to send in fingerprints while for California we did. Smiley

State PCC are not required at this stage (only FBI letter is required). If State PCC is required, CIO or VO will specifically ask for that with AOR.

Hi Alizia,

How r u so sure about this? how did u check? And till what date is this information valid? As per CIO website they are processing till 17th May so do u think applicants till 17th May are safe if they have not received the application back yet?

Please let us know.....
