to seniors, I have a silly question. i sent my application on 5/15 from USA. I've been live in US over 7 yrs and got my master degree here. my question is i didnt take the ielts, i choose the option to explain my ability of English on the application. will cio return my application directly?

I was in similar situation as well. I needed 4 points in language to reach 67 marks and was't planning on taking IELTS.. anyway i have been in US for almost 11 years and completed both bba and mba from here .. as per other peoples advise i have taken ielts anyway .. it's really up to u if wanna take the chance .. my consultant advised me to take the test as well.. i understand it's probably waste of ur money. i just registered and went for the test didn't spend much time or effort for preparation .. i didn't know the format of the test and got stuck in listening section and scored 14/16 (7-L) .. now my total points is 77 .. good luck .

I called the Immigration center, and I was informed that they are still working on april 28th!!!!. I can see some charges for May applicants and don't know why I got this message. Any comments??

I am assuming you are refering to application submission to CIO. .. CIO doesn't require IELTS submission with initial submission .. u need to include IELTS score card with other documents in the second submission to the visa office .. so in that case u should be fine..

Interesting - except for 3 oof the may 3rd applicants no one seems to have had their CCs charged in the May list. Wonder why they changed the status before the earlier one was changed i.e on working on applications recd till May 7th

i have seen in cic website that they have still 4131 NOc code in detailed NOC code list. our application reach there 6th of may but still hvent receive AOR. Hope so will get their response soon we all

Hi Navali,

I totally agree with you and some other mates on this thread about this prolonged wait leading to serious anxiety from the CIC. We should also be mindful of the pressure on the officials at CIC to clear the backlog, due to change in immigration rules. However, lets keep praying that nothing goes wrong for us in our attempt to clear the first hurdle from the CIC after this LONG AND OVERDUE wait.

My strategy in dealing with this anxiety is, RELAX, LEARN AND ENJOY. I pray to God to grant all members of this great forum our desired objective of getting Canadian PR no matter the challenges.

I hope the tide will turn in our favour within a week or two.

God bless each and everyone of us in our dream pursuits.

All those applicants who havent received there package back are in safe line as i come to know that preliminary investigation are done till 10th may there are stages of processing applications and all you who are till 10 th may have cleared first stage
CCs are charged immdeiately while DDs are required to be posted to respective banks through internal banking system and it takes almost 5 to 10 days for international transactions so dont worry be happy

How the denied applicants are informed about their badluck and get their packages back, is it through mail or email?

Hi guys, information for sharing.

From the local forum I refer to, which is applicants from PRC, CIC now charged up to May 6, some are just processed today.

I also kind of confused about the CIC note that they are processing file already around May 17, but the status update may always have some delay right?
Anyway, based on this schedule, there should be good news soon.

By the way as they mentioend on their website they are working on application till 17th May while noone has received AORs/CCs charged in May (except 03)...it shows that u right and they are doing initial check on the applications....
