A quick question: I just sent my application. Today. and .. only after sending, I looked at the forms on the CIC website. Turns out they have changed the Application form IMM 0008. The new form is dated 04-2010. The old one was dated 10-2008. And I just filled out the older form I had. Any comments? Anyone filled out the new form? Or did everyone fill out the new form and I am the only one with the old one? The new form adds a new question for the English / French under family details with this text: If your native language is not English, French, which language do you use most frequently? Options are: English, French and Neither for each family member. For my application: I am applying NOC 4121 and am currently in Saudi Arabia. checked my form and I used the 2008 version. I think it is not a big deal for that specific change for us who submitted recently. But I think for those who have yet to submit should use the 2010 version.

Made payment through credit card.
applied under NOC 0213
Do you require experience letter. I guess it was not in the checklist...

Its only necessary to submit whatever is in the checklist. People are adding proof of English as well just because of the confusion regarding the processing after April 10. However, those changes only affect the processing at the CHC not at the CIO. The CIO process has not changed other than an additional question on the application form. Do you require experience letter. I guess it was not in the checklist...

hello, the courier tracker informs me that my courier reached today 14th May applied under NOC 0213. Please add me to the list How many days will it take to get response? The timeline is 45- 60 days but some applicants from march received there AOR in 62 days, so it could be more than 60 days. Uptill today no applicant from April has received AOR so it will be long waiting. Good Luck Regards Saki

If you do not have so much funds then it better to start getting your funds ready now so that when CIC ask for full docs you can send it straightaway and in this way you will also have funds in your account for 2-3months rather than leaving it for the last time and not having solid financials. Regards Saki

You can sell some of your assets and deposit those funds in your bank account. Its always good to have strong financial statement for last 2 -3 months but we have seen some cases where applicants has deposit the money in the account before sending the docs and attach the explanation letter with it explaning where those funds came from like selling car, jewellery or any other asset. Regards Saki

You can show it but its not going to count in the funds, you cant show property, car , jewellery but if you transfer that to cash it will help.
