i just called cic .. here goes the update:

They are currently processing august applications ..24th and i should have received my AOR by now (as per cio) .. so she opened a case specific status update request and kept my phone numbers ... and told me someone will get in touch with me in 30 days with my file number ... she kept my name, date of birth, application submission date and phone numbers ... submitted formal case update request ..

i suggest those of you .. haven't received aor yet .. should do the same .. i had posted thier phone number before in this thread .. if you can't find it then let me know i shall post it again ..

friends, i have few doubts regarding police clearance certification .. 1) do I need clearance only for me (primary applicant) or do I need to get also for my family (spouse and kid) ? 2) I stayed few years outside india .. do i need to get police clearance from that country as well ?

Hi Awoderu and all May applicants,

I just would like to share good news. After 4.5 months, my first AOR (via e-mail) finally reached me on October 12,2010, a day after Thanksgiving. My VO is Manila, Philippines. I hope to submit the full documents by weekend. Goodluck to all of us!

WTF is wrong with the other applicants. The number of AOR going out has declined. How can they say they are through with May applicants when more than half of the May applicants have not received anything either positive or negative

You would need to get for yourself(principal applicant) and your spouse only and any of your kids abouve 21 2) I stayed few years outside india .. do i need to get police clearance from that country as well ? you only need to get for that country if you stay more than 6 months in that country

Looks like CIO is focus attention more to the Post june 26 applicants. Cos the whole process slowed down since the introduction of the new rules. This is really annoying. Instead of them to complete one set before moving over to the other they are just vacillating.

Hi Guys,

I called CIC now (Dubai time 10.30 pm) and the reply from them was weired.

I gave my surname, name & date of birth. He is saying no record for this data. Secondly they have completed all the May Applications and currently working on 23rd Aug-10.. Then wat is the status for May Applicants who has not received their AOR.


I dont believe this statement and pray to god for AOR.

Hi. When they said August 23rd did they indicate whether this was application received on August 23rd, or CC/BD charged/cashed on August 23rd?

No-one from the post-June-26th thread has reported to have received an AOR yet, so either the above information is false, or there is quite a long delay between CIC completing the eligibility review, and their actually sending out an AOR.
