A friend of mine applied under 1111 NOC, her application reached to CIO on 3 rd May and she has got her AOR on 25th August. Another case where applicant under 1111 NOC applied and her application reached CIO on 3rd May, DD encashed on 9th August hasnt yet got anything. Just sharing for ur information friends...

hello,
pls help! i'm cofused how to start to claimed overpayment to CIC canada i used my credit card to pay my application through their website last May 2 then i got my reciept and written all the details of my payment and also a code or reference number.then i submit my application together with my reciept and forms for payment that you made then last aug 9 they claimed again another payment through my credit card and my bank trying to contact me but unfortunately i did not recieved the call so they allowed to credit the amount in favor to CIC.according to my bank try to contact CIC to inform them that they debit my CC two times.pls help me how can i call CIC about this issue although it's a good news for me to accept the payment and to start to process my application. thanks a lot to seniors in advance to answer my inquiry. and add me also to the list for May charging my CC last Aug 9 and May 2 2010.

Hi, My prayers are with all applicants who are trying their best for better life and future. Your DD should have encashed as 15th June applicants have been started for CC payment. Any how wait for further one week before making any call to CIO. I am 23rd June applicant so at least two weeks will be required for any progress.No tension yet! Wish you all the best luck! |

Hi sandr,
Nice thread you provided to clear up the IELTS validity issue. I have same
query regarding PCC validity.
The cic website in clearance regarding the POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE
says in INTRODUCTION
"If you want to immigrate to Canada, you and your dependants may have to
provide police certificates when you submit your application for permanent
residence. Visa offices may also request certificates from students and
temporary foreign workers."
which indicates, it is an issue to the Visa Office, i.e. Singapore, New
Delhi etc., not of CIO.
Again in "what is Police certificate" they say "They are issued by police
authorities or government departments and used by Citizenship and
Immigration Canada (CIC) to prevent individuals who pose a risk to
Canada's security from entering the country."
which indicates it is an issue to the CIC.
Again regarding validity in "Who needs a police certificate" it says "The
certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you
submit your application."
Now My question is the validity is relates to the submission of first
application to CIO, sydney? or it is related to submission to the second
application upon receiving the 1st AOR?
Now, see, the matter is, since, in the first application to CIO does not
require any thing regarding PCC, the validity is not supposed to be
related to the submission of this application.
Furthermore, the collection and submission of PCC comes after receiving of
1st AOR. After receiving this letter, allong with all other documents, PCC
is one of the docs that is to be collected and submitted to the respective
Visa Office. So, "no more than three months before you submit your
application" means before you submit your application to Visa Office,
Singapore, in my case.

thats what i was telling that if CIO will delay in giving AOR then whatever pcc we collected will be expired then??why CIO asking us to collect PCC before submitting application to CIO?  |

As it is clearly mentioned on the website on EG7 Guide at Page 40 that Before submitting your application to the CIO, you should begin to gather your police certificates. And PCC should not be older than 03 months before you submit ur application to CIO."
This issue has already been discussed several times on the forum as well so please note that u dont need to get new PCC... Example: U submitted inital application to CIO on 27 April and ur PCC were dated 19 April so u r absolutely fine. Basically In this case any PCC issued after 28 Jan (in ur example of 27th April application) will be fine. |

Old EG7 Guide:
You may begin to gather your police certificates before submitting your application to the CIO. Although you will not submit the police certificate to the CIO, you must be ready to submit them to a visa office if your application is recommended for further assessment at a Canadian visa office. When you submit the application to the visa office please ensure that your certificates were not issued more than three months before you submitted your application to the CIO.
New EG7 Guide:
Before submitting your application to the CIO, you should:
begin to gather your police certificates, and
research the estimated length of time required to obtain police certificates from all of the applicable jurisdictions.
Consult our website for specific and up-to-date information on how to obtain police certificates from any country.
Police certificates are valid for 12 months from the date they are issued. If your application is placed into processing, these certificates must be submitted before your application can be finalized. Failure to submit police certificates when requested to do so within a specified period of time may result in the refusal of your application.
Note: If a final decision is not made on your application before the expiry of your police certificate, the visa office may request that you provide a new one.
When you submit the police certificates to the visa office, ensure they have been issued in the last three months and no earlier. Certificates that are more than three months old on receipt will not be accepted.

Thanks, pgt! I suppose it will arrive any day now. I was basing the timing on my June 2009 application, but she's missed my timeframes. I guess things are moving much slower now with the increase in applications. Good to know she's still on track! |
