The information on CIC site (till 10 June) - is for 1 stage of application review - check for blanks.
The information from CIC office by phone (processing 3 May) - is for a final stage - issuing an AOR.

nice!  coz you are probably right.. when CIC declared that they are already processing up to June 10, no one from June applicants got cc/dd charged..

Pl help me with few of my questions.

As of now am planning to send my Full docs in 15 days.

1.My home country's PCC was 3 months old now. Can I send that or do I need to get a new PCC?

2.Where can I get the format for the Proof of fund? I currently have the required amount in my bank account (Current account - salary account). I can use that format to get the letter from my bank.

3.I am a resident of USA for last 5 years. I do not have IELTS score. Do I need to submit along with Full documents?

As per pre-Jun26 rule, the PCC must be taken within three months of CIO submission. So, it may be OK.

Looks like US banks have trouble in giving certificate. You might want to talk to your bank first. Search this forum for POF bank certificate format

You may be taking risk without IELTS. Please post this question as a separate thread so the seniors can answer.

I have been resident of USA for 8 yrs, I am planning to take IELTS. Based on the recent happenings you are taking risk. Even couple of years back a friend of mine had applied but at that time they had given him second chance and he took IELTS. Now after April 10th there is no second chance.

But if you have enough points, i.e 67, without English, then you should be fine. But it all depends on the VO to provide the points. He may give you zero, 8, or what ever.

The information which Saki posted is just to give us an idea as to what dates CIO has returned applications.

There are several stages to which the process entails and these are listed below as per quoting my previous post.

Just to say however that CIO can reject your application at anytime within this process and you should also consider your individual mail service and the time in which mails would get to your doorstep.

Hoping for all the best and that you will get your AOR in the coming weeks.

From my understanding - there are several steps to the process :

Step 1 - they open the mails and check for completeness of the application (meaning all the areas in the document filled out and CC validity or cheque validity

Step 2 - they tabulate the number of points you have and if your NOC code is in the current list of 38 or 29( if you fulfil the criteria)

Step 3 - they send your CC or DD for encashment

Step 4 - they decide if they want you in their county (selection committee meeting as per Alizia's post)

Step 5 - they send you INITIAL ASSESSMENT (every body now calls it 1st AOR)

I don't have any concrete evidence on this information but from the Blogs/Forums that I read, I get this idea.  That is the reason for some persons receiving their return application or rejection letter earlier than others.

So guys, until you get your 1st AOR, no one is 100% safe.

If someone else has any contradictions feel free to post your views.
