Apologies, but I guess some senior needs to respond to this question as I myself have not gone through the CAIPS request process yet. As far as I know you need to complete release of information because a Canadian citizen or resident only can request this information. Plus all the information is maintained centrally in Canada so no need to request it from Visa office. DM is not a good sign, I really hope and wish everything goes well for you. Best of luck.
I know it's not a good sign  ........power of prayers can beat all the odds. The day I got the DM status was the day my visitor visa to Canada was granted. I hope they are connected somehow. My consultant said they have not received any negative communication yet. I sent a separate email to CIC on May 5 and have not received any reply as well. |

Today i checked my status & it shows In Process.
We received your application for permanent residence on May 31, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 4, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the New Delhi office. They are pending review.
Your application was reviewed and we started processing on May 9, 2012.
Hope they process further in less time.
Thank you every one for updating ur time lines which helped me in analyzing my application status.
God willing every one would get their MR soon.

Many people have got Decision Made status diectly after IN PROCESS and without getting any MR. So, its not necessary that eligibility criteria has been cleared. The visa office shall be reviewing the file and there remain equal chances of getting rejected. London Visa office has sent so many rejections after IN PROCESS. Even NDVO has in past rejected applicants after IN PROCESS status
But in many case there is computer glitches reviewed later. |

DM = "Decision Made" Decision made without medical is not a good sign (application rejected). If the case is "In process" , cross your finger and pray to god for medical.. Hi everyone, After almost 1 yr and 7 mos. RVBO on my ECAS !! yesterday it was showing "IN PROCESS " thank God !!! So at first I can't beleived on what it on my Ecas ..funny bec. I'm used to the RVBO ...but Thumbs up to LA they are really doing their job, Finally moving !!!! wow ...I can feel that everyone will get their MR soon ...i have been following most of the forumers which their files has been transfered to LA , and they are all moving pretty fast...well goodluck everyone, Hope LA wont stop ....Hopefully everyone got their MR's next month. Just look at my added line here...... as you can see how long is the wait.....FOr the IN PROCESS MODE.!!!! finally !!!! We received your application for permanent residence on May 7, 2010.
