May 2, 2011 Federal election, Would affect immigration??

Hi guys....

The 2011 Canadian federal election is scheduled on May 2, 2011. The next Prime Minister would probably be a choice between Stephen Harper (Conservative) and Michael Ignatieff (Liberal). Now, who's the real pro-immigration?

The future of Canada's immigration program depends on who will be in power after the election.

It seemed that 42% thought Harper had the best showing based on a poll by Global TV after the English Debate last night.  He was ahead of the other three by a good margin (Layton 25%; Ignatieff 23%; Duceppe 2%).  Don't know how this would translate into actual votes, but of those polled after the debate only 1 in 10 was undecided.  There just doesn't seem to be a clear alternative to Harper and there have been several minority governments (read frequent elections with the same outcome).  Don't know if voter apathy will prevail or whether people will realize it is their right to determine how Canada is governed and GET OUT AND USE THEIR VOTE.
