I was looking at this link and it says a maximum of 1,000 Federal Skilled Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing between June 26, 2010, and June 30, 2011
cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp

1122 Professional Occupations in Business Services to Management     1,000 (Cap reached)**

The occupation that fits me has reached its cap according to the link.  Does that mean I would not be able to apply using this occupation?

Thanks

Sadly, you are correct, UNLESS...1) you can get a job offer; 2) you have other talents that you have been paid to perform for 1 full year and fit into the remaining 28 NOC categories; 3) you get your application at the front of the line 1 July 2011 and your NOC is still in the list, or 4) you speak FRENCH and can apply for Quebec or qualify under one of the other Provincial Nominee Programmes.  Good Luck and hopefully others on the Forum will have more ideas.  There are all sorts of smart people on the Applications after 26/06 thread you can post this question to as well.
