maternity leave and financial evaluation

hi, all!
please help me!i started my maternity/parental leave from july 2010 and will be back to work this july. i am currently filling out the financial evaluation form to sponsor my parents to canada. on the section 11, "tweleve months precedng date of applicatinon", does maternity leave count as a siutaiton changed during the period? i am still employed but received EI maternity benefits from government and top-up from my workplace for the first 7 months. i am confused. thanks in advance!!!
