marrying a canadian citizen

hello me and my girlfriend of 11 months are getting married  in a couple of months  , she is a live in caregiver. She sent her application for open work permit and permanent residency application last month.as i am a citizen and she is applying for her PR what steps do we take. do we have to let the immigration know for the change of status. or should we just continue to wait for her PR.

If she has not received her PR status when you marry, then she has to inform CIC.
