I just learned in another form that I may need the long form of it, has anyone had luck with just sending in the short form of it? I haven't even received one back yet, I really don't wanna wait for a second one =/

kourts...I got married the the US...and I only gave them the marriage certificate that has only both our names...I didn't even know there is a long form...anyway....my file is is process and they already asked for additional documents...and the long form wasn't one of them...so I'm guessing it should be fine.

I got married in the US last July.  When we got the certificate for the officiant to sign, it clearly states that its is the marriage certificate.  We have yet to receive anything else, and its been almost a year.  So far so good for us..

As per normal it likely depends on the Visa office and the officer working on your file...
