Hi all,

I have one question regarding PR as a FSW. If I apply for it as an individual and before getting my PR, get married, will this affect possibility of getting my application accepted?

Thanks in advance guys Smiley

Usually not, unless your future wife is inadmissible for health or security reasons. The other point is that, usually once you add another member during processing, this will delay your app as they have to process your wife file as well.

Good luck.

There is also a chance of getting an interview at the VO.

Although most applicants don't go through it, it's part of their process to try to find out the validity of the marriage, especially if an applicant lacks the 67 points needed to be eligible for approval.

ok. I am eligible to apply for PR, I am single right now and planning to fill my application in July. If I get married after July, what can be the implications of my marriage in the processing of my application?

Will they reject my application?
Will the time period of processing my application get increased?

No of course. As I said, if your wife has no security or medical issues, then you should be fine.

Once you add her later, you need to expect some delay.

there are no negative or bad affects at all unless your wife is a criminal and have a criminal record. don't be scared of getting married and if some body has told you that getting married will slower your application process, slap on his face............
