Hi all,,

I got married from Canadian citizen,,we submitted our case under sponsor ship  status,

and our marriage is genuine ,and we proved it by  lot of evidence, like (photos, bank account, ....)

and we are living together in happiness.

Today we got a call from our lawyer said he got an information from (CIC)

it said that our file In  Preliminary step.

So If you please

we would like to know what does mean Preliminary?

what will go on after that..

if you please can anyone notify us about this

Thank you

Why do you not ask your lawyer what he means by preliminary?

If you applied inland, you should get first stage approval in 5-6 months but it may take you 1-2 years to get the PR.

If you applied outland, they take a bit over a month to approve sponsor and then send your file to the country where it's processed and getting PR can take from 3-12 months depending on which country and how fast you go.
