hello to everyone,

Hope someone here can help me, I am separated right now but no documents yet to prove it, base on new generic form for PR application on status it should be "legally separated, annulled, divorce...etc but no separated only, what should I put? I declared separated since my last income tax return, since my ex-husband doesn't really care anymore to us (me and my baby) but now I need him to sign on a custody letter, i called him and his willing to sign, but my problem is the "status" on the form. would it be affected my application? What if I put married but not apply for him just for my baby? Please..........help me........ any help will be highly appreciated.........

i have a friend who submitted PR application under AINP, who had the same problem because he doesnt want to bring his wife here....He got an immigration lawyer..(with the consultation it cost not more than 100bucks per session,,he did 6)..He showed me the letter from the lawyer declaring that they are separated with his wife..and together with those are the documents signed by his wife..lately he said he received his confirmation no... hop this will give u some idea that getting an immigration lawyer is sometimes better than just submitting ur PR application by your own..

Check legally separated and get him to swear an affidavit that you are separated and no longer in a conjugal relationship (provide date of separation) and that he understands that he cannot sponsored to immigrate to Canada under the family class.
