Here's what the letter said:

This refers to the Application to Sponsor a Member for the Family class you submitted to this office on behalf of my husbands name here and family (if applicable). We are not able to process your application as it is incomplete. You are missing the following:

• A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) hearing an original signature for the person(s) you are sponsoring (Husband's Name). This must be received at this office by: 08/01/2012. I have enclosed the original form you submitted with your application. Make sure the principal applicant's signature on page 4 is apposed in the upper section only as indicated on the form.
• For all requested forms, questions must be answered in full. Details must be provided for every month/year since the age of 18. Do not leave any gaps or blanks. Write "NONE" in the box if the question is not applicable to you. all forms must be signed and dated. Incomplete forms will result in a delay in the processing of your application.

All requested documents/information and a copy of this letter must be submitted within the timeframe specified above (formatted as "month/day/year"). If you are unable to provide any or all of the requested documents/information, please explain why they are not available.

Then it goes on to talk about when you should contact CIC and how to check the status. So no, nothing really. I checked online on Ecas, just says Application Received.

I got the number from the letter they sent me saying that I need to redo the one form. It's at the top of the letter.

So basically unless you have received any letter from CIC since you have submitted your application, no one is able to view any status about their file online...It that correct?

i am hoping to hear something soon (within the next two weeks hopefully)
today is offically 80 days since i sent in my application so if i dont hear anything by next friday the 15th i will be calling and hounding them

If the date on the CIC website is before yours even if you hound them they will tell you the generic response, we have no information on file your application has not been processed yet please call back in 2-3 weeks....

Yes that is true, someone today from Feb 28th (the day before mine) called today and they told him/her that they are working on apps from Feb 15th and CIC told them to call back in 3 weeks. In actuality, Feb 28/29th is over 90 days. (website says 90 days)

Hi Guys... I sent my courier package on 1st march and it was received at CIC-M on 5th March 2012..but I have'nt even recived my UCI number or anything at all from them.. what that means? everyone else have received UCI number?

Give it a few more weeks. March is just getting some approvals, you might get one soon too

Hey! it is normal that you don't have a UCI - most people don't until they get approved. Some (lucky!) get an AOR with UCI so they can keep checking but the majority of applicants only hear from CIC when they get the letter or email of approval. Officially they are working on 15th February so if you call they won't say anything, but some march applicants already got an answer, so you're probably really close. Nothing to worry about for the moment. Good luck for waiting!

I checked the CIC site today and finally it showed the status that my application was received on March 8 2012.

Hopefully, I should hear about the approval soon.

for those of you who applied at cic-miss please note that due to overwhelming amount of files and falling behind they sent a batch of files to the ottawa pilot office (like mine)... i sent on mar 6th and they got it on mar 7th, and i got a reply from the ottawa office of approval and the information etc... so those that have sent applications in feb and their files are still in miss office dont be disheartened, yours will be processed soon... nothing to be concerned about... wait and by end of june most of you will have already gotten your uci/file numbers... best of luck to all

Thanks for the insight and congrats! I hope mine went there as well. They seem to have things moving so much faster. Still patiently waiting!
