I received my sponsorship approval in the mail today. The strange thing, which I have never seen before in this forum at the sponsorship stage, is that they sent back almost all of our original proof as well. I think all of the photographs for sure. It was all just thrown in a disorderly fashion in a box, all mixed together. Boarding tickets mixed with wedding cards mixed with photographs, etc. We don't like the fact that the VO will not have the benefit of the full package of proof on which to base a decision, but oh well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Anyway, before people start asking all of the standard questions, here is the information:
Approval came by snail mail (obviously), sent from the Ottawa office.
They received our application on March 16
The letter was dated June 21
No AOR was received
I can log in to ECAS using both of our client IDs, but not any other numbers. For my spouse I used the client ID from a previous TRV application.
My ECAS shows decision made and my spouse's shows application received.
well at least you got sponsorship approval with your app today, I got my whole app returned to me today due to missing documents. |

well at least you got sponsorship approval with your app today, I got my whole app returned to me today due to missing documents.
That really sucks chickie72! Was it just the wedding certificate or did they miss more? We didn't send in our wedding certificate right away either. Hope you can return you're app soon so you're back on track. |

We didn't send in our wedding certificate right away either.
Hope you can return you're app soon so you're back on track.
LOL it had nothing to do with the wedding certificate at all. It was his medicals and I had filled out one form incorrectly. They gave me a self addressed label with an officers name so when I send it back it will go directly to him/her. Will have everything back to them by the end of July so I will be back in process by then. Such is life. |

Wonder why some folk get AORs and some get word of approval without having received an AOR? Anyway, it's good to know our application is being looked at! |

Congrats to all who received their approvals and wishing other receive theirs very soon  For those of you that need to apply for CSQ (Quebec Selection Certificate) after the approval, it may be a good news that my CSQ application was received on June 12, and I got the CSQ letter dated June 21!!! Only 9 days. Well, although obtaining CSQ for spouse is not supposed to take long, but having an early update causes less depression for all of us Good luck all Oh that is amazing news!! After long delays mine was only sent out yesterday  but with your good news i feel relieved... My lawyers say that CSQ doesn't affect the process and that some only hand it in went the visa is ready to be issued...what a waste of time that step is all for the quebec government to receive a share of the immigration fees...they'll take any money they can get! |
