Dear seniors,
I have a question. If the medicals reveal that the additional applicant is pregnant, would the application of the principal applicant go on hold as well? If the principal applicant is medically fit, what would be the procedure the immigration adopts usually in such cases? Can some one throw some light please? many thanks

If your wife is pregnant then she is not allowed to have X-rays. Therefore she can't complete her medical till labor. This of course puts the whole application on hold, since the baby with have to go under medical, issue a passport and submit all new documents to the VO. But I'm not sure if X-rays are allowed at the early stages or not at all. Someone with relevant experience might help you better.

I think xary isnt a big issue bcoz they will do chest xary and barium lead cover can b used to protect6 the baby, xary can b done in 2nd trimester with precaution,,main issue is that does canada allow u go there and give birth the baby and take all the responsibility of that baby or they take easy way on hold ur case until ur baby born.what do u think what will they do.

Yes, unfortunately it puts both on hold. They can't process only the principal applicant, stamp his passport and leave the rest of the dependent members on hold. The dependent member is part of the immigration file and can't be left aside.

@ casayed
I think that it's up to what the practitioner will write. But think about it. Say that the woman is 2 months pregnant, till MR and passports and all is done, then at least another 3-4 months will pass till they receive their passports. It will be hard (if allowed) for her to fly to Canada, and of course no one flies the next day after he receives passports. It takes at least one month for relocation plans. So, what happens if she decides to stay home till she delivers? What will happen to the baby with no PR? I assume VOs don't want to take such risk with cases like that.

yes u r write.after baby comes to the world he needs to submit his birth certif,passport,150 dollar fee, etc. It will delay his procedure bt its more important the baby comes to the world than any one goes to canada.

For those who are yet to submit both PCC and MR, what comes first?
Or both are asked at the same time?

Does anybody know what question they ask from the employer?
they will only call employers if they find the employment certificate questionable, has missing informations, and basically for verification purposes if you really indeed worked the tasks enlisted in your certificate.

thanks casayed and thalia for your responses. How about a different scanario where the additional appicant gets pregnant after the medicals are done. In this case, I would say she should still be fit to fly if they get the PPR and stamp quick enough to fly in the first six months of pregnancy. I guess nothing goes on hold in this case. Any comments? many tx
