Hi Nokiadesire, spyder, jacky, naveed, gussj & other friends,
I just found out from the bank that the DD for my landing fee was encashed on 16th feb. Does it mean anything positive for me? My understanding was that they don't encash the DD for the landing fee until they have completed all the enquiries and they are sure that the applicant is fit for landing. Because I think in case of a rejection, this landing fee has to be refunded. My ecase still says in process and the medicals received line has not been added yet, so I am confused. Anyone has a comment to make on this please? Naveedbahi, did you find out if your DD has been encashed? Look forward to your response, many thanks.

That's great news.
I doubt any application gets rejected after MR other than for health or security reasons.
So you should get pPr soon.
I am not sure if I asked you earlier, but did they ask for RPRF together with medical?
I wouldnt worry at all, you should receive PPR soon buddy.

hi, thanx for your encouraging words my friend. if you meant req for proof of funds, then they didn't ask for anything as may be i had furnished everything initially. they just asked me for a new background decl form along with the landing fee. thanks |

I hv submitted rprf with pcc and proof of funds in mid feb,my meds were received also in mid feb.
My ecas status still in process.
I wish to check from bank encashment of dd,the bank is hsbc from dubai. Will they inform me, hw often i can check with them.

hi, all you need to do is visit the branch that made you the dd with a copy of the dd (if you don't have, then you need the dd number and date at least) and they can tell you from the computer if the dd has been encashed. this is what i did. Did the VO ask you to submit rprf with pcc and proof of funds along with the MR at the same time or at different times? Was it on the MR letter from VO? As well, did they ask for prooof of funds because thye didn't ask me for that. Pl if you could clarify, tx |

Pretoria VO gave me an email on 31/01/2012 regarding passport request and telling that it would take 5-10 working days to get back the passport, up to today i didn't receive any response from them
