Thalia may be there is really something wrong going on in Rome VO. I feel sorry cause your case really is going too slow, considering that you are under the new MI too...i just hope you see some movements on you case soon.

I mean, is there a restriction on the time given to enter, like you must enter within 6 mnths/1 year of the date of issue of the visa? Please if you could let me know, many thanks |

Canada100, You have to land before the date of expiry of your medical examination despite the date of visa is stamped. It can be anything between 6mths to 1year (1year in case if you receive your passport immediately after your medicals done  , we know it's quite rare)... which means you may have to land if required in 3-6 mths if there occurs some delay in receiving the visa. In some cases if the security checks take longer time then they may be asked to redo the medical test if the first one is nearing the exp. date. Let's hope that you get things done faster! |

hi all,
finally, exactly 5 mnths after the london vo received my file, some news from them for me. two days ago, they asked me a clarification abt my new zealand pcc. i had furnished a clearance from the ministry of justice, nz along with the application. but cic need an authorization from me authorizing them to carry out a full fledged enquiry. i sent them the same and the wait continues.....just an update.

hello canada 100, sorry for the delayed reply...its been a whie since the last time i visited the forum. ok as for your inquiry, the visa's expiration is exactly one year after your medical examination. so for example if your medicals were done in august 23, 2011 to visa will expire on August 23, 2012. that means regrdless on when exactly you received your visa, the basis of its expiration is a year after your ME. this also means that onece your have done your medicals, most likely the visa will come out anytime soon, unless otherwise there are some issues with yur medical results and or personal background.
