Canadian immigration changes from this week
06 April 2010





 For concise and recent immigration information watch our news.
If you wish to apply for Canadian skilled immigration you should bear in mind that there will be changes to the procedure for assessing English and French language ability from 10 April 2010.

 
You can still either submit a written submission or an independent third party test (IELTS). If you submit a written submission which should normally only be done if you are a native English or French speaker you can now only submit this once. If you do not meet the language requirements the first time then normally your application will be refused. Therefore, if you are not a native speaker it would be best advised for you to do an independent third party test.

There will also be changes to the Canadian occupation list from 1 May 2010. It is expected that some occupations will be taken off the list. If you meet the requirements for Canadian immigration it may be advisable to apply now before the changes to the Canadian occupation list.

yes u will have to submit

IELTS is required at the 2nd stage, i.e. when submitting full application to your respective visa office.

but i think it's better to send a copy of the IELTS (if you had taken one) wile you sending your docs to NS as they request to on question #6 in Schedule 3.

i don't think March 2010 applicants will receive AORs now, we can our expect AORs starting from first week of MAY 2010.

There are only a couple of people left for receiving AORs on the Feb 2010 applicants list. There are people who have received AORs right until 8th Apr on the Feb 2010 list. So I am sure we will see AORs on our list next week. Let us keep praying for each other. All that we can do at this point is to keep our fingers crossed and wait patiently!

               anyone can tell me that proof of funds is required to be sent along with documents when application is sent to visa office ? or afterwards visa offfice requests proof of funds ?

Proof of funds needs to be sent along with your application to the Visa Office. However the Visa Office can request for fresh statements anytime during the whole process
