Layoff's at CIO. Cases in initial stages may be slowed down. Us March Applicants may have to bear delays (God forbid).

i am worried about case delays now due to layoffs of 150 emplyees . I guess it might take 7-8 months for initial assessment as it was before in 2008.if anyone having proper information regarding this,kindly share the views.

if it took 7-8 months, i guess many people would withdraw their application.  i am sure  that the immigration minister would come up with some smart solution to this problem
lets hope everything goes well and we all be in canada by the end of this year, and start our new year and new life in canada

if u are re-applying to CIO nova scotia after 10th april, i would suggest u give ielts and send the result with it. with your previous immigration score of 65, u now need full 16 points in language to make your score 67. so practice hard for ielts and make sure you get the following score for each band:
L- 7.5
R=6.5
W- 6.5
S-6.5
