Hi all,

What is the overall IELTS band requirement for Canda immigration.
As per the cic guide they have divided it into High, moderate and Basic level.
High Means = Listening : 7.5  ,  Reading, writing, speaking : 6.5

Do we need to get the high in all the modules, is this written anywhere in the cic instruction guide.

If somebody is getting an overall bank of 6 , is he eligible or not?

Is the band anyway associated with point system, I mean If I am getting 67 with the band of 5 , is this sufficient or I need to get band 7 irrespective of 67 points.

Please help.

You can get any score you want in the IELTS. The eligibility is based on the points you secure from the test & not the test result as such. Thereafter you need 67 points to qualify.

Use the following table to determine how many points you will be awarded for your test scores with the International English Language Testing System (IELTS):
Level
Points (per ability)
Test results for each ability
Speaking
Listening
Reading (General Training)
Writing (General Training)

Hi all,

I'm a March applicant.. and after 3 months, i received my first AOR!
Thanks God!

Anyway, just want to clarify the 120day rule. Is it 120 days from the date of the first AOR or from the date they received my application?
Sorry, this may be have been asked and answered a couple of times, but I just want to be sure. :-)

Thanks in advance!

Hope everyone is doing fine.

Hello guys
Congrats to all those who have got some sort of approval Inshallah some day you shall get an AOR

I called yesterday and told them about the email i sent to CIo for credit card and she said just wait and relax not a big deal it shall take 4 weeks

So more wait

anyways in the meanwhile i am finalizing the docs

 more questions

1) Shall the copies of Passports be notarized or no need for that

2) If one is presenting copies of teh passport as a proof to something then shoudl it be notarized i mean a visa copy

3) For London visa office can we provide property documents as Proof of funds along with Bank statements and certification letter as after all that your investment?
PS Id someone has a copy of the certification letter coudl you please paste its text for my reference so that i could get it from my bank

You feedback shall be appreciated

Regards

Hiya, I am new on this forum. My application received by CIC on 30th March 2010 but I have not heard even a single word from them. Guys, please help and let me know what should I do now, should I wait more or call their office to inquire about my application, I sent the money by demand draft so not very sure whether they got the money or not.

Any help will be highly appreciated and many thanks in advance.

O jani
Count 4 5 days after you think your application reached to them and then count 7 weeks if 7 weeks have passed since then or about to pass then call them
Go ahead
