Hi everyone
Finally after so many days of dialing the 613-9444000 number i could get hold of a person who guided me and told me about my application status. A very nice person to talk to his name was TONY and he was very polite.
I sent my application and as per DHL was delivered on 12th March which as per them was received by CIC on 15th March and the processing began on 27th of March.
Now atleast i dont have to worry about my application lost in mail.
He said its in process and normal processing time is 2 months after the processing starts. So he said i should wait till 07th June and if i dont hear then i should call them again.
This telephone number is for the office that is located in Montreal that is waht i confirmed with him so anyone making calls should keep in mind thsi time. They work 9-5. yes you must be ready to hold for long times. but thats the way
Now Finger Entangled not Crossed but a lil bit satisfaction that my application is under process.
Now lets see what comes up.

Do you show exact required amount as a Proof of funds? can we show we own a house and it's value in addition to the bank acct statement?

Congrats. please how did you pay the application fee? was it through debit or credit card? am worried because my application got to cio on the 31st march and up till now my visa debit card is yet to be charged. was yours charged long before you got the aor?
Don't worry, my application was received on March 15th and my credit card hasn't been debited yet. I called CIC yesterday and they said if I don't get anything by June 7th I should call back. Basically you need to count 10 weeks from the date the application was received. That's what they said on the phone. Good luck to all of us still waiting on AORs. |

I sent my initial application to Sydney on march 8th and they recieved by march 10th. I did not get any response from them so far. I applied from buffalo and I a student in US. It's been more than 10 weeks now and no response. Is there a way I can find out about the status of my application? I have sent a DD and I cant even find out if it's been encashed as my bank would not give out that information as it's a foreign currency draft and asked my to find out with the people on whom the draft was issued.
any suggestions?

There are some other applicants from march who has not received anything yet and some people tried to contact CIC and they told them to wait until 7th June. So i will suggest just wait for another week if you dont hear from them then give them a call. Cheers saki |
