Its 1st April and I am still waiting for Sponsor Interview. My wifes Uncle (Our Sponsor), He is a doctor in Winnipeg, and we have applied under family stream MPNP. People please console me  Just to refresh, My AOR was dated 11th Jan 2011. I am in Karachi, Pakistan. How long does it usually take from this part of the world? Any one else in my boat? And what does happen after AOR letter, and how long? (please in terms of Karachi/Pakistan Application  ) Help me out and pray for us! Thanks! -->Ali<-- |

Pari, 6 months from the begining of the application. the application should take only 6 months to be finished. may be slight up because of letters delay in post or because some applicants are selected randomly by the manager for review just before issuing nomination certificates to make sure applications are assessed acoording to rules. that is why some application take longer time.
just waiting for police certificate coming and then apply , I expect to apply at begining of May, I have time until mid sept.

Latest statistics on Manitoba immigration
• Manitoba welcomed 15,803 immigrants in 2010 - the highest number of immigrants since the start of modern record keeping in 1946.
• Winnipeg received 12,340 immigrants in 2010, more than Edmonton, Ottawa and Hamilton and more than Quebec City, Regina, Saskatoon, Victoria, Halifax and Fredericton combined.
• Manitoba's share of national immigration increased to 5.6 per cent in 2010, up from the less than two per cent received in the 1990s and greater than Manitoba's proportional share of Canada's population (3.6 per cent).
• Manitoba is on target to reach 20,000 immigrants by 2016.
