I want to bring my sister to canada. she will apply through the manitoba family stream. she meets all the criteria but i am not sure about the education/training criteria. it says that you need to have one year of post secondary education but in my country there is no post secondary education that last one year. she has a certificate for bookkeeping which is organized by an agency. it lasts about 6 months. so, my question is, is this enough for her to be accepted and does she meet the minimum requirements for education?

I assumed it was like that, but in my country there are no programs lasting up to 1 year. however, there are course programs and training programs and you receive a certificate upon completion. i do not know if they accept them as one academic year.

Talk to Manitoba PNP.  Explain the situation to them and ask them if it would be accepted.
