Hi janggong, welcome to the thread, yehey nandito na tyo sa wakas. right now, my hubby is preparing to come here in Canada na din habang nag-aantay ng passport with the visa. so far ang preparation lang na mtrabaho is buying the stuff na for sure na dimo mahahanap dito at cgurdong mamiss nyong pamilya. It's important na rin to buy some clothings na pang lamig if you will land in two months time kc malamig parin dto although it depends kung saang city kayo mag se-settle.medyo mahal ang clothing dito kaya it's better to buy some in there that you can start with. also you can search for insurance company, ay oo nga pala, if you guys are driving there, and wanted to continuosly drive here withour immediately taking the written exam and the road test, just secure a document from LTO and have it DFA certified for an iternational license, In that way, pwede na kyong magpractice agad on the road, kc dito kung wla ka pang Learners license, you cannot practice or even take a drving class kung wla un, para makuha un kelangan pa ng written test muna maipasa which is for me hassle un kc una medyo ang exam kaya mag rereview at para sa isang kakarating, ang dami pang iniicp for the first 6 months here, so I suggest if you guys wanted to drive immediately, secure an iternational license. and if you wanted to jump from Learners license to a regular license(supposed to be 1 year pa ang wait nun) mashoshorten nyo un with the LTO document that says na you're been driving fro atleast two years in the philippines
thanks Karen. san nga uli kayo sa Canada? pano po ba kumuha ng red ribbon seal from DFA? madali lang ba? collect na din kami ng documents like TOR and diploma and apply for IQAS (for Alberta/Saskatoon) - assessment for educational attainment. |

Decision made na ang status ng e-cas ko. Hopefully in a week or 2 weeks time dumating na yung passport with visa. Headed to Calgary on March 17. Goodluck everyone.
Anyone from Los Angeles? Anong best trucking company na mapadala yung mga goods to follow. Somebody suggested U-Pack (ABF), relocube which will cost $1,800, door to door delivery including 1 month storage.

oo nga jangong... by the way balitaan mo kami if makuha mo na ang iyong passport...wow thats the best part!!!! kelan niyo plan umalis? kmi kc like ng hubby ko na May pa... ang tagal nga eh.. like ko ng umalis ang start a new life!!!! like ko na din mag work kahit paano.. got bored na since i resigned more than a yr na.. hubby lang ang work as of now.. plain housewife lang ... |

Hi! Just received my PPR this morning! What a wonderful blessing! Thank you Lord! Ask ko lang.. Nung nagsubmit kasi ako ng complete docs sa manila visa office dati, wala pa akong international travels so wala pa nun tatak ang passport ko. Pero after ko mag-submit, nagkachance ako magtravel sa 2 countries outside the Phils. My concern is that do you think I need to write a cover letter upon submission of my passport stating the travels I had (stating the purpose & duration) since makikita nila bigla na may mga tatak na yung passport ko? Or di na kelangan kasi they have a way naman to check/verify the travels I made? Need your advice. Thanks in advance! |

Congratulations to all who got their PPRs already. Pati na rin sa may visas na this month. Cant help but say buti pa kayo! But I know in time kami na rin!!! Yehey! Anyway, for those planning na, you can visit craigslist to have a reference. Like for Annegel, you can try craigslist calgary. Pwede ring craigslist vancouver or craigslist edmonton. Im not sure if there are security issues to contract with the people advertising there but you can get reference at least on that site. Goodluck goodluck! Sana kami rin magka PPR na Lord! Please...for our peace of mind! Hehe

Hi Rslcanada - yes, andito pa ako sa LA. What I like about U-Pack is yung relocube nila na gamit mo lang yung andoon at kahit anong ilagay mo as long as it will fit eh ok. Mag canvass pa rin ako sa iba.
Annegel - sa may NW side ako and I'm staying with a friend muna for a week. According to her eh 2bedroom, 1 bath /basement - $925. Maganda yung place niya eh very close to downtown. I think if you will take the bus around 30 minutes lang daw.
