I saw on your post that you'ved lived in other cities in canada (the bigger ones,i think ) How will you describe the difference of Stoon, SK compared with the rest? How is it like there? Hi trxcis!!! Saskatoon is a relatively big City with a population of roughly 250K. But despite the size,the cost of living,ex. rent/mortgage,cost of food,transportation (includes gas and/or bus tickets) and other utilities (power,water,cable,phone and insurance) are relatively low compared to Calgary and Toronto. I've heard that Calgary's rent for a typical 2 BR apartment can be around $1500+...in Toronto,it can be that price too. I have seen apartments in Toronto that may be around $900 but its way too small compared to the "regular" sizes of apartments here in Stoon.. Here in Saskatoon,it ranges from as low as $600-1000. See the difference? . Workwise,since you're in healthcare.....they hired 300+ nurses from the Philippines back in 2010 coz of the shortage of healthcare workers. But like everyone have probably mentioned,unless you came her under a work contract,you have to take a "survival" job in your first few months,then you can hunt for your dream job when you get the "ropes" of living in Canada.

You can also take a peek at this website....www.saskjobs.ca .....so you can see all the possible jobs available in SK....Remember though that some jobs here aren't advertised,they usually come from word of mouth from a "kakilala" . Hoping for the best for you and your family!!!!

Hi! Yes nag repeat ako, my daughter got sick jan 2010, kya inabot na kami ng expiration ng medical, although during those days, may communication ako with the embassy, they have been asking for an update regarding my daughter condition.

Rich, ano balita sayo? anyway, just got word, mainit daw sa toronto. leebro! you're next in line!!! sila mimi and rene bihira ko na makita magpost dito. Anyway here's an advice sa lahat ng nag iintay sa passports with visa: KEEP THE FAITH!

We're getting our tickets bukas! weee! (weeee walang na ako trabaho sa pinas  )  after more than 10 years na pahinga lang is Holidays, vacation leave, sick leave, emergency leave.... ano pa ba? ngayon lang yata ako magbabakasyon ng walang bayad... again.. I'm KEEPING MY FAITH!    every test, there is a testimony. (waw kala ko pagnakuha ko na visa tapos na ang paghihintay) mag iintay naman ako tawag ng employers hehehehehe Never the less, here's some good news: Madaming survival jobs sa Canada!

Btw, I had an offer (malayo sa linya ng work ko nga lang), its WORK from HOME, 8 hours a day (quota lang), $40 an hour (no OT), you get a company car (Fridays kailangan pasa resport) and free training w/ allowance! ano tangapin ko na?  Medyo nag aalangan ako, though pwede ako mag refer... ano tingin nyo?

hello jig jig! pano malayo sa work mo?!? med transcriptionist b.... sales marketing?!? not IT related. for the start ok na rin ang $40/hr til you get an IT related job. scrutinize the offer first if its true....marami din ads dto sa US nag o offers ng ganyan but scam lang. if its real.... good to go for the first yr of survival jobs, 40/hr is not bad at all & your wife needs to work to have a good life & live comfortably.
