SA MGA FUTURE CALGARIANS SW or SE --- my husband and i will be migrating come september (hopefully pag anjan na si VISA)... halos lhat n yta ng online classifieds napuntahan ko n...naghahanap kasi ako ng one bedroom, basement o kaya kahit shared accomodation... sobrang mahal kasi dto...but if there are fellow forum members out there WHO ARE OPEN FOR A SHARED ACCOMODATION TERM let me know pra full force tayo para ang pagpunta sa Canada eh ndi masyado mhirap..... kung 2 kme sna 1 0r 2 persons din muna kayo but who knows open nmn for possibilities.... may mga nagreply na din kasi n landlord kunwari dun sken kso sobrang dami ng SCAMMERS kairita.

Fully booked na ang august sa Cathay.  Sa ibang airlines naman, puro waiting list na.  Dami daw kasi pabalik na Canada in time for the start of school.  Kaya sa September na lang kami alis.

CONGRATULATION sa lahat po ng na DM at nagka VISA..ano pa ba ang mahihiling nyo sa ating mahal na Maykapal napakabuti nya talaga !!! PDOS po kami bukas at Aug 7 po ang alis namin to Vancouver via PAL baka po mayrun po dyan na iyon din ang schedule e sana po ay ma meet naman po namin kayo. Lahat po ng kasali sa forum na ito ay nag contribute malaki o maliit para po sa lahat kaya nararapat lang na magkakilala man lang tayo. Salamt po at muli God Bless sa lahat !!!!

thank you virgiemarie and to others who replied my queries sa POF. What I was most interested po is kung dalawa po kaming mag-travel and our POF is $17K, and since sabi nila "..declare it in form of writing if you are carrying above $10K..", puede po bang paghatian namin ng wife ko  yung POF($8k plus each) para hindi na kami mag fill up nung form? thanks again, virgiemarie and the rest of the group!

10K and above applies to the family group, so kahit na hatiin nyo , you will still need to declare it. good luck!

To clarify things out, I opted to ask CBSA through email and ask whether we need to declare funds if the spouses brought 8t each or an aggregate of 16t. excerpt from CBSA reply, viz:

There are no restrictions on the amount of currency or monetary instruments that you can bring into or take out of Canada , nor is it illegal to do so. However, you have to report to the CBSA amounts equal to or greater than CAN$10,000 or the equivalent in foreign currency.  It is very important that currency and monetary instruments be declared properly. If the funds you are bringing into Canada belong to you, then you and you alone are responsible for their declaration. You should not delegate funds to family members simply to avoid paperwork. Misrepresentation and false declarations are serious CBSA offenses.

so happy...i met someone na mkksbay ko ng flight..same date,destination,time of flight and airlines...thanks sa PDOS...mgaling din ung speaker..hindi nkkantok at ang live live ng discussion...thanks po sa help ng forum na to..

Thanks to m2canada...so prepared for the PDOS..complete requirements and very good daw in filling up the form..no questions asked...sabi ko nlang,thanks to my friends in the internet...hehehe... Nauna ako sa pila,naunang nkpagregister,naunang nagbyad...hehehe...ciempre una din ako naisyuhan ng sticker sa passport...sobra kami sa 60..ung iba di na nkhabol tlga..nagcut-off na cla.

Yes hellokitty_catnip. 0213 rin ako. Last batch and I always say that we are really lucky. I'm not sure kailan ulit babalik ang 0213 and mabuti nakasabit tayo sa last trip.

Friend, pakishare naman tips sa PDOS- requirements and pagaccomplish form? Pano sa dependnts, may form din? What time dapat andun at saka san malapit yung building? Any landmark?
