Ask ko lang po pwede ba ang cooperative bank pagkuhanan ng travelers check or bank draft kasi dun ako naka deposit, kc yung agent ko sabi hindi pwede ang mga rural bank mag issue ng mga ganun baka daw hindi recognize? Hindi daw pwedeng withdraw yung bank draft for deposit lang daw kahit makarating na sa canada according to bpi...is it true? 

How true is this guys...who have experiences like this? please help.....

Hi, I also wondered about that.  A friend of mine who already attended PDOS just left it blank.  Hope this helps. 

petitioners data...if u are the main applicant just write your name and details being asked...in the form of your wife/husband....or dependents except your own form ...yung form mo blank yung area na yun...just attended pdos last monday....

I and my spouse are going to renew our passports from green to e-passport.

Is it acceptable if my wife will still use her maiden name or it is mandatory for her to use my surname once she renewed her passport?
We are worried that changing her surname might create conflict on her legal documents here in Saudi Arabia and might also affect our PR application because all documents in the application are in her maiden name.

Any advicefrom members please.

Is she the principal applicant? In our case, I'm the P.A. I was still single when I applied. I didn't change my last name to married name because of the same hesitation as yours. Anyway, the embassy knows I'm already married. So now that we're here in Canada, I'm still using my father's last name but my civil status is married. Perfectly acceptable in this society. Hope this helps.

Hi faithfully! i've read this same question here once before and somebody said that its perfectly fine to land anywhere kahit iba yung nasa Original application/COPR. I hope somebody will confirm this.

hi guys.. im back from hybernation...  2 months in Surrey,BC is great, so far... exciting ang buhay... minsan nasa baba ng cycle, minsan nasa taas.. hehe.. i started on my 5th job today, really funny experiences but then kailangan lang ang tyaga sa application para makuha mo finally ang job na gusto mo, o match sa skills set mo.. haayy dami kailangan iconsider, distance sa bahay, M-F job, salary, kasi nman kung wala ka car dito mahal din fare sa bus at skytrain.. mas mahal din pala kapag may car dahil sa monthly insurance.. kaya ayun keep trying and trying talaga to get a job that can make you pay your bills.. anyways, i suggest to all landing here in Vancouver na once you arrived, after getting your SIN and filed your CTB and MSP, to look for non-profit organizations who will help you become employable here in Canada.. im sure na-discuss ito sa COA. So there, start it right.. there are some who will even give you training allowance..

Hi Horace, you may follow virgiemaricel's advise. It's also important to note that CEM must be informed on whatever changes that you've done. Like if your wife decided to change her family name, then don't forget to send a note to the CEM for the update.

Hi lionheart. When your getting a bank draft, ask your bank on the number of days before the bank draft clears. This varies depending on the bank - from 10 to 30 days. I'm not sure kung may bank draft ang mga rural banks. Siguro it would be better of to get one on the bigger banks like bpi, metrobank or bdo.
