Manila V.O. - Waiting for the Passport with the Visa

I've a similar 'concern'.  Mine expires on Sept. 22 (and wala pa sa kin my passport/visa sa lagay kong to) and even if I get it this month, I've always planned on leaving at the last possible date which for me is also in September.  I've so many things to wrap up before departure as well, am sure they'll understand.  After all, we're not arriving with the visa expiring the next day.  Lol!

My main concern is I wonder what other tasks would get delayed/affected by it?  I mean like may effect kaya sya with SIN application, health card app etc once one lands in Canada those sorts of things.  Like may bearing ba expiry ng visa with applications for those, etc.  One never knows kasi.  Mamaya nyan bulaga na lang.  However, I've never come across yet any such scenario reported in the forums.  So praning lang ako.  Girl scout.  hehe!

Re the IO, magtatanong lang naman yan if indeed they will but then as long as valid pa ang visa on arrival why deny entry right?  Probably just a standard question for them.  And besides, we are moving to another country, not next door.  hehe..  So sana considerate.  At least I hope so.  Maybe others here might have better info?  Please share naman po.

thanks! nakakaparanoid lang. hehehe. technically, the visa letter says naman we should arrive before or on Sept 21, 2011. sana walang maging problem for us and for you too. malapit na din yang sa yo, it's good na you're starting na magasikaso hehehe. ako kasi i told myself, gagalaw lang ako pag anjan na visa. ayan, ng dumating nagulo naman mundo ko hahaha.

Hi! just wanna share my landing experience to you guys!  Umalis kami ng pinas last June 5 via cathay pacific (810 cad total manila-vancouver-saskatoon). Maganda service ng cathay pacific, may connecting flight kami sa hongkong airport and we purchased some medicine there kasi its less expensive(2k philippine price vs 400hongong price). medyo malalayo lang ang gates sa hongkong, muntik kami maiwan ng flight to Canada, we're waiting kasi sa gate 21 then without anouncement nagtransfer sila sa gate 31, so better you look at the electronic billboard for channges in gates... pero fortunately we make it to our flight... 11 hrs kami nagtravel to vancouver and it was a very smooth ride... Pagdating sa vancouver it was 9pm June 5 sunday, konti lang lami landed immigrant so medyo maiigsi lang ang line, that time close ang immigration may satellite office lang sila near the exits... Medyo nagmamadali na immigration officer and they ask how much we bring na money, and he suggested for us to divide the money para we can declare it na less than 10k so we dont need to do paper works... then we gave the address where we are staying for the pr card and that its... May nakita lang kami mga chinese immigrant na pinabilang ang money and pinaopen mga luggage, for us, di na ginawa yon... Rght now we're enjoying the sun at vancouver(until 10pm may araw pa...) then we're moving to saskatchewan on june 10. That's it guys! Good luck sa atin lahat! God Bless us all!

hi.. question lang... our POF is CAD$17000. we intend to bring kasi US$10,000 and then the rest naka bankdraft. what do you mean by "divide"? is it like i can let my husband hold the half and the half sa akin? ganun ba yun? para no declaration na? thanks.

tama si hellokitty_catnip, what matters is that you land before your visa expires... wala pang na deny dahil gusto sagarin ang visa validity... ang incident lang na nadinig ko na in-airport to airport is due to lack of required funds upon landing...

the SIN, PR card release and OHIP will not be affected by how late you land your visa... once you land, the usual length of time it takes for these documents to be released will just take its course depending on when you file them... from what i understand, PR cards are issued three months from landing as forms for PR applications are filled-out at the immigration at the port of entry already... your SIN will depend on when you will apply for it... yung mga nag apply, binibigay agad ang SIN nila within 15mins of application yata... number lang naman talaga ang need natin to apply for jobs... yung card yata ipapadala na din lang sayo after (correct me if i'm wrong)... depending on where you land the OHIP takes effect three months from the time you land (vancouver, toronto) or upon landing (alberta, edmonton etc.)... eto medyo wala akong alam... i am assuming we will provide proof of when we landed...

mukhang nagbago ang VO ng visa releasing... baka every two weeks, tapos 6 to 7 days din ang visa validity na nilalakad... so let's just wait and see...

magdala daw kayo ng TABO wahahahaha! ako itong asawa ko sabi ko pag aralan na magkabit ng hand held bidet hehehehe... bumili na din ako at mura lang dito satin yon... samantalang doon nasa 40$  dito yung tig 500Php maganda na hihihi...

sa friday kami mag PDOS, kung may makakasabay kami, let me know here... describe what you will wear na lang (you won't miss me, i'll be wearing an itsy-bitsy teenie-weeny yellow polkadot bikini wahahahahaha!)... naka black ako na top, skinny jeans (naks, hayop, jeans lang skinny, hindi yung legs wahahahaha!) and black platforms... mukha akong maldita pero hindi naman talaga (as you already know hehe)...

hosha, balitaan tayo... sino na mag take over sa pag update ng schindler's list?
