 @ freetorch99 -- hehehe!  No prob!     Glad to know it made you feel more inspired/optimistic. =)

 @ heatspine -- Indeed, me-mention ko nga rin sana the Alps in that post.. hehe!  Yung statement po ng friend nyo, similar rin po feeling and thinking ko when I first saw the Rockies. lol!  Kakaiba talaga.  And yeah, it's something to look forward to somehow if one ends up relocating where the best jobs are/might be.  Ideal nga sana si Vancouver or wherever the first choice to settle might be (mainly due to the support system available) but if it seems the right jobs are more readily available elsewhere, better nga siguro si "elsewhere".  hehe! 

It's the jobhunting bit really that I consider the next big hurdle, not necessarily the relocation to Canada or the little tasks related to moving there (seminars, flight bookings, papers to prepare, etc).  Si jobhunting kasi "open-ended" (for lack of a better word), unlike the others that are pretty crystal clear (dates? req'ts?  phone numbers? payments? etc..).  I'd consider myself or anyone else here lucky if we get a job there in a month's time upon landing or even prior (nice!).  Yun nga lang I haven't really started any jobhunt tasks yet.  Lol!  Either a month before, or after I land there na siguro saka ko sya magawa I guess.

Soo.. sana talaga mabilis adaptation natin once we get there, like having the right job asap sana.  Best of luck on this score for all of us.  Everything else just follows.

hi guys... finally, we landed last Wednesday and to now may jet lag pa rin kaming family... gising na gising pa kaming tatlo habang ang buong Surrey, BC ay natutulog na....  btw, yung immigration formalities walang hazzle... super fast nman... ask ask lang sila bout the legalities of my marriage, where we will be staying, who will assist us, etc.. then ask ni immigration officer how much money did i bring then sagot niya "that's a lot of money he he" then ayun lumabas na kami ng immig ofc then nag-hire ng porter (we have 6 boxes and 2 luggages and 3 handcarry bags) for  16 CAD.. then i payed him 20 CAD kasama tip.. sobrang pagod kasi kami lalo na may 2 year old pang malikot na bata.

stayed for 3 hours muna sa Vancouver (nakatulog kami sa sobrang pagod), then headed to Surrey (bout 30 mins ride).. ang ganda at ang linis dito... tama ang sabi ni badzmaru... tamang combination ng mountain and sea... lamig pa rin... brrr... kanina i got my SIN number, then tom baka mag-open na ako ng bank account then kuha phone... haayyy dami gawa pa dito... pero masaya! love the place..

kailan ka apply na sin ilang months or days mo nakuha?

yesterday lang ako apply then nakuha ko na agad yung SIN number ko dun mismo sa araw na nag-apply ako... card will be sent to me in 10 days.. pero pwede ko na gamitin agad yung SIN sa mga applications, etc

helloow everyone..cant remember when i logged in the last time here kc sobrang napakahectic ng sked after we got our visa..
as i promised i will give an update to you guys of our landing experience..upon arrival sa immigration vancouver airport, we queued for clearance and it was a long line because we get to share the line with other landing immigrants from all over the world,,and its just amazing because the people who received as there were very cordial, very helpful ..there were not much of questions asked,you just present the docus needed and off we were allowed to go...and yup they asked about the money..we were ready of it thou because we carried the whole 24grands in cold cash hahaha as in literally speaking..we landed here on april 21 but was only able to apply for SIN last april 26 because in between these days was a weekend and some holidays..
With regards to how to apply for SIN,medical insurances and child benefits ..basically its easy kasi they give a hand out on how to about with these things sa immigration..
we will be in Burnaby on the eastern side of Greater Vancouver''... so far so good with the Guidance of the Almighty God we are doing just fine...and I pray also that VISA will continue to come ASAP for you guys...but ofcourse it will come...Have Faith!

i just checked my copy of medical report form (which was sent by Manila VO) ...your visa office was already stated in the form  so dont worry

thanks for the reply, i meant with regard to the form you bring with you to the doctor when you take your medical, im not sure if the "visa office" entry in the form was filled up. i mean, if it wasnt filled, how can it be forwarded to the correct visa office?

will it affect my application sir?

hindi pa rin dumating yung visa ko.. Tumawag ako sa cic cebu tapos sabi nla my dumating na visa pero wla pa yung sa akin..parang gusto ko na yatang twagan ang cic manila ah.hehe.or pwed rin cem..this is the 8th day of waiting post dm status, excluding pa yan sa sat n sun at holy week. Please lord sana dumating na po visa amin lahat..

sa mga naghihintay na mag dm, wag po kayong mawawlan ng pag asa kasi sure na nman na ibabalik yung pasprt natin lahat with visa at hindi na yun magtatagal..sobra na talaga yung cem pag e relis na on aug kung sept ang expiry.pray tau lahat.. God is good.
