Manila V.O. - Waiting for the Passport with the Visa

tahimik  alam na alam ko kung bakit  smell ko di na naman naka update ng ecas ngayon at magdadatingan na lang bigla ang mga visa sa thursday or friday

HI TO ALL!  Tanong ko po sa mga Seniors on this forum: kapag po ba nagcheck kayo sa ECAS nyo nung naghihintay kayo ng REQUEST FOR PASSPORT noon,nakalagay yung address nyo on top? yung sa akin kasi dati merong yung address ko,
pero nung tiningnan ko kanina, wala na ung address. ano po kaya ibig sabihin nun?

Hi there, sakin po nangyari din yan. mga 3 weeks ago, nawala siya for a week then bumalik din naman.
Pero hindi ako waiting for passport request, nandun na sa CEM passport ko since November 2010 pa.

I've read in some threads na nawala din yung sa kanila then nung bumalik address eh decision made na status nila.
Pero iba-iba talaga eh. Katulad ng sakin wala naman nangyari. until now in process padin.

Maybe it's a sign of updating the system. But I'm not sure if its a sign of a pending change in status, basing on my experience.

paulferrer is right, don't mind it... it's just a system glitch i believe... most of us have had this happen to us but nothing definite about it really... probably because they are updating to a different system daw... yung iba inabutan na lang na mag DM sila... minsan nga na le-late pa sila mag update ng ecas... some already get their passports  before they change status... so they wont waste time doing something to our ecas status unless they are going to change it talaga... it's just a random thing...

thank you, thank you, paulferrer and canimmigrant for your inputs. its just that i get frustrated at times on the long wait. im sure you've had the same feelings about it. sa kakaasa kong dumating na yung PPR ko, i can't help but to think, even the least bit of change on my ECAS that IT MEANT SOMETHING. I hope after my CIIP on wed.-thurs this week, it could give me some other things to mind while waiting for the Embassy's e-mail.

No problem! Are you already a part of the other thread waiting for the PPR? I think they also made a table to monitor the release of PPRs. The wait is really stressful. I also met a couple
of people from CIIP who haven't received their PPR, and they had their medical exams last november 2010. Mr. Michel from CIIP said that he would bring up the topic with
the head of the CEM. I think he meets with him/her occassionally.

All we can do now is wait...and it's really a hard thing to do. Especially for the people who use their passports often. I'm guessing that
a huge number of applicants were not able to leave the country for 5 to 6 months now. Some request for their passports to be returned to
them though due to their need to travel, even without the visa yet. I also need the passport to go to Singapore, but I am afraid that
if I request for it to be returned without the visa, it would prolong the process even more.

i so get where you are coming from... all of us here know the agony of waiting... nakakapraning... sabi nga ng husband ko, it is unfair to the highest level... but all we can do is wait talaga... isipin na lang din nga natin yung nasa old processing pa, as in years ang lamang natin sa kanila... siguro mas inis na inis sila... let's stay positive... kung atin ito, ibibigay... at least we can channel our complaints through organizations such as the CIIP and COA... nakakainip talaga...

Thank you canimmigrant and pinkyrhea! Naku sana talaga ibuhos na nila lahat this month mga visas para umusad na yung backlog.

Visa expiry ko po September 8, 2011. So ibig sabihin mukhang yun nga ang basis, except sa mga few exceptions yata?
