Manila V.O. - Waiting for the Passport with the Visa

hello all....

just wanted to get some sound advise....we haven't received our VISA yet but we sent it last June 2, 2011. Would it be wise for us to get flight bookings already?

ok lang naman magpa-book. wala naman bayad pa-book pero may period yon, mostly after two weeks pag di ka pa bayad sa travel agency, ika-cancel nila ang booking mo. okay lang yon kung ang purpose mo is magkaroon k ng idea sa price ng ticket sa choice mong airlines. maganda mag-send k ng quotations sa mga travel agencies ng preferred date and airlines mo para makapag-compare ka. pag nag-send k ng quotation, ibu-book k n rin nila. Punta ka na lang sa office nila kate para mas sigurado, although ok naman sila. Sa me greenhills lang sila. Magkanu pala nakuha mong ticket at kailan flight nyo sa vancouver? Me reservation din ako dun pero me nakuha akong PAL na affordable.

hi yoj! nov 30 2011 visa validity date namin. sana nga magkita kita tyo dun! good to know na at least may ISA kaming makakasama from this forum. sana madagdagan pa. let's establish a close contact later on kapag malapit na tyo umalis. lets keep in touch. may ticket na kayo? naka advance reservation na kami from CIC travels, $765 ang isa ( excuding PH taxes). empake mode ka na din ba? daming papers aasikasuhin!

nakaka-praning kasi ... ang dami asikasuhin. tapos collate ko pa lahat ng POF....tapos may airfare pa for four....dami din gastos.....hehehe....parang caught un-prepared pa kami. sige will explore options among the travel agencies.

hi, PAL- $620 +travel tax sa bon voyage travel, boeing na din kaya ok sya.  
Make sure pag kumuha kayo ng PAL, wag yung Airbus. Remember yung nagpost dati na pag PAL, M-W-F kayo magbook para Boeing.

Sa mga nag PDOS na, ano po ilalagay dun sa application form regarding "PETITIONER'S INFORMATION? Thank you!

I don't know kung nasagot na itong PDOS question... Petitioner's Information in the application form is the data of the principal applicant (PA). So if there are dependants then you have to write all the data of the PA. If you're the PA, no need to write anything. Dun sa occupation, write the NOC that you applied for at CEM (i.e. financial manager, architect, dentist, etc.). Hope this helps.

Hi,

If your visa will expire in the next 3-4 months, I think pa-book/reserve na po kayo.  For peace of mind.  Daming uma-alis pala going to Canada.  And pag mas maaga kasi nag-reserve relative to departure date selected, mas mura yung fare. 

Tama si mommyquinz, you don't need to pay outright when you book/reserve, merong due date rin sya for payment. hehe!  So if in case your visa isn't with you yet, and you don't pay the reserved flight/fare by the due date, auto-cancel naman sya and you can reserve another date again until your visa arrives.

In my case though hinintay ko na lang na dumating my visa before I booked a flight.  It left me about 3 months before the visa expires.
