Manila V.O. - Waiting for the Passport with the Visa

ask ko lang po... re return of Passport w/ visa, meron ba dito kasama lang sa bahay naka receive ng passport at hind kayo mismo... ibibigay ba ng courier? need ba ng authorization letter?!?

ilalagay ko kse sa appendix A different address where my passport can be returned (Phil add c/o relatives) & not my mailing address.... or do I need to change my mailing address pa....out of the country Phil kse mailing address ko e. kung pwde sana mag send ng PP ang manila embassy outside Phil.

I think you can notify them re the different mailing address.  In my case, if am not at home, I've left an authorization letter with photocopy of my valid ID (passport in my case).  

Since you're overseas, your authorization letter can be an email I think, as long as the email address you use is the same as the one they have on file, and then for the copy of the ID, email a scan of it or photograph of it to your relative/receiver and have them print both the authorization letter (in email form) and the ID scan or photo.

Wala lang.. just my two cents'.

guys, off topic lang... to those naka alis na or preparing to go na... do you plan to bring dried goods such as dried squids/fish, for your family/ pasalubongs to friends/ families? kasi i'm pressured by my sis, i don't want to... but Im gonna stay sa kanila.. & she insisted na her friend brought them naman before daw... i wanna be on the safe side sana.. but no choice... i saw sa CBSA site na, things you shouldnt bring included sa food dun, yet nakalagay din dun na if you'll bring those stuffs, you have to declare. If ever I bring dried goods like fish , etc. & declare it... hindi naman kaya ako magka problem?  share naman insights guys. if you experienced this, or if you know about this... thanks so much!

if you are bringing dried fish and other "not so good smell stuff", make sure that it is vaccuum packed. The items should be "factory packed" at nde lang tayo ang magbabalot. Otherwise, i-confiscate nila yang mga yan.

Correct po si heatspine.  Lol.  I remember now, somewhat related topic, someone I know was once denied boarding a PAL flight to Canada 'cause the passport her visa was stamped on was expiring in less than 6 months.  PAL refused to check her in 'cause magkaka-problem daw sya on landing in Canada.  Pero hindi immigrant visa yung kanya.

Salamat for the encouraging words heatspine ha.  Minsan nakaka-praning thinking it won't be released in time.  Lol.  

But I am expecting it next week hopefully or before month-end 'cause CEM didn't include in their reply about them returning the passport to me and me returning the passport to them after I return from trip in mid-August (back and forth kami... I offered..) so they can stamp the visa.  Ni-escalate lang nila/follow up status to I don't know if department or tao and noted "medicals expire Sept. 22".  Haven't got any new correspondence from CEM after that.  So sana no news is good news.  hehe.

hi seniors. our visa validity is until sept 21 only. medio gusto namen na isagad ung stay dito dahil madami pa aaskasuhin plus some work-related stuff. my question is okay lang ba if August umalis? may nag advise kasi sa akin na dapat ASAP. kasi tatanungin daw ng IO. that makes sense, pero my concern is if ever ba gawin namen to wala bang repercussions?

tama si hellokitty_catnip, what matters is that you land before your visa expires... wala pang na deny dahil gusto sagarin ang visa validity... ang incident lang na nadinig ko na in-airport to airport is due to lack of required funds upon landing...

the SIN, PR card release and OHIP will not be affected by how late you land your visa... once you land, the usual length of time it takes for these documents to be released will just take its course depending on when you file them... from what i understand, PR cards are issued three months from landing as forms for PR applications are filled-out at the immigration at the port of entry already... your SIN will depend on when you will apply for it... yung mga nag apply, binibigay agad ang SIN nila within 15mins of application yata... number lang naman talaga ang need natin to apply for jobs... yung card yata ipapadala na din lang sayo after (correct me if i'm wrong)... depending on where you land the OHIP takes effect three months from the time you land (vancouver, toronto) or upon landing (alberta, edmonton etc.)... eto medyo wala akong alam... i am assuming we will provide proof of when we landed...

mukhang nagbago ang VO ng visa releasing... baka every two weeks, tapos 6 to 7 days din ang visa validity na nilalakad... so let's just wait and see...

magdala daw kayo ng TABO wahahahaha! ako itong asawa ko sabi ko pag aralan na magkabit ng hand held bidet hehehehe... bumili na din ako at mura lang dito satin yon... samantalang doon nasa 40$  dito yung tig 500Php maganda na hihihi...

I resigned last May pa. & I plan to take PDOS late June/ early July kasi...
