Correct.    
And I checked my PPR before. CEM indicated:
"We will make our best efforts to have your passport(s) returned to you with your visa(s) within 90 days from their receipt at the Embassy."
So best effort pala, not necessarily guaranteed 90 days. FYI.  Happy waiting!  hehe!

so true hellokitty_catnip. and discretion talaga ng VO ang releasing. they are amenable both to the Federal and the Provincial government. kaya lucky na rin tayo kasi may working date na tayo dahil sa expiry ng visa. pano yung mga ibang applicant na wala pang definite date? pwedeng magbago anytime ang processing time. mas mahirap ata yun. kaya hanga rin talaga ako sa mga 2004-2005 applicants who had the will to go through the process kahit inabot ng 6 years ang processing. ganun talaga, applicants are always at the mercy of the immigration office. ask those who are going through petition in the US -- mas matindi pa ang antayan dun.

kaya consider ourselves lucky kahit medyo nag-slow down ang releasing --- mabilis pa rin ang processing natin.

I so agree.  Lalo na na yes, pwede talaga magbago anytime for those who haven't received their PPR yet.  I remember I had a 2007 app.  Then when the NOC38 FSW1 policy came along in Feb 2008, aba ang bilis nung kanila and mine was barely moving.  I finally submitted a second app for this NOC38 FSW policy (the one for my current PPR) in 2010 'cause I was thinking CIC might change rules again, mahirap na.  And sure enough, nag-change nga sya into NOC29 a few months after I submitted my NOC38 FSW in Jan/Feb 2010.  And now their/NOC29's waiting time for MR/PPR appears to be significantly longer than ours.

Kaya buti na lang talaga nakahabol and we got the PPR by end-2010.  *whew!* (even though  I don't have my passport back yet.. hehe.)

But now, I'm noticing something.  I don't know if I should mention it 'cause I might be speculating, and could be premature.  In other words, praning lang.  haha!      'Cause one of the posters in this thread, alvers (NOC38 FSW, and a November PP passer), got his visa already.  Whereas some of those who submitted theirs in October haven't received theirs yet.  Nauna pa yung November sa mga October passers.  Either magkaiba-ibang workload lang mga VOs handling their visas hence the delay for those who submitted theirs last Oct. at mukhang hindi chronological ang release of visas for the FSW NOC38 class, or, tinitingnan na rin talaga si NOC code of the applicant who submitted their passport (whether last Oct or Nov) and how many visas have been issued already for each NOC code...in keeping with their current cap policy on applicants per NOC (assuming iba ibang NOC codes si Nov and sina October passers).

It's either the latter, or this month dapat anjan na rin for the October posters.  Tagal na rin nung sa kanila huh.

  @  hellokitty_catnip: exactly, we can only speculate. one of the reasons why this thread was started was to track the progress of each applicant. parang mini-trackitt with the hope of having a logical explanation as to how the visa is release. in general naman we can see the trend pero may mga exceptions rin. you are correct to say that we can only speculate kasi we won't really know -- unless isa sa atin dito ay nag-work sa VO and knows the exact mandate di ba? virgiemaricel gave one sound advice on one of her thread saying not to resign until you have your visa with you. it's really hard living on two different lives -- of course we envision ourselves already there -- pero we still need to move on here. kaya siguro let's make our time productive lalo't we have time on our hands. yun rin sana ang maging outcome ng thread na ito. like sinimulan ko dati yung survey about what travel agency gives the best value. makakatulong sa atin yun. isa pa, yung mga seminars or links na makakatulong sa atin. maraming mga organizations na nag-reach out agad sa newcomers - pwede ng i-check yun. sa labor market naman pwede ng maki-link sa mga organizations related on your sector. pwede rin ihanda na yung sarili sa employment. pwede rin mag-network na tayo as early as now. kaya may column na "landing on" -- kasi it would be helpful kung may support system agad.

nakaka inspire naman.. thank u for the positive outlook. it really helps us a lot and eases some anxiety of waiting. hope this batch would create unending friendship kahit na di tayo nagkita-kita. as much as possible trying to connect and communicate whatever life will be ahead of us. this will make us our comfort zone. we may never have the same opportunities and guaranteed life we'll have in canada, hope we still can hold on to each other for moral support.

gade3, we're of the same consultant , CPNIS. Have you tried to communicate with them already if they are making follow up with your papers? I'm glad I've found somebody from this forum na kapareho ko ng agency. Buti ka pa waiting for you passport with the visa na lang ako waiting for PPR pa. Do you know somebody na kasama natin sa parehong agency?

rbganda, i believe that you will receive your PPR through e-mail pa din, kahit meron kang agency... intay intay ka lang at least na medical ka na...

which brings me to my own speculations (para tayong si sherlock holmes nito nyan hahahahaha! )... i believe the VO is basing the  processing on the VISA VALIDITY... meaning, very important ang time kung kelan nagpa first medical (which usually dictates the visa validity) plus the time when you first submitted your application to the CIO (not including the pre-march2008 applicants)...

si alvers, who applied in january 2010, should have had his medical sometime july according to the processing timeline of our batch... if all went well with his MR (ie no additional medical exams required), he should have had his PPR within 6 to 8 weeks...  so september dapat... so why submit their passports ng nov na di ba? dahil dyan lang sa MR ang applicants nagkakaroon ng differences sa pag release ng PPR... so i'm thinking baka may additional medical requests pa sila alvers...  that's why i was asking him what his visa validity was (kaso para syang mushroom na sumulpot at nawala yata hahahahaha! )

so i'm beginning to really believe that it's not actually WHEN we submitted our passports that matters, it's until when our visa will be valid that has more weight... they want us to have as much time to prepare for migration as possible, hence inuuna ang mga mas malapit na ang validity ng visa... ito naman ay mala sherlock holmes ko lang na opinion wahahahaah! so duda ko, yung mga may visa validity until august naman ang susunod na gagalaw  

badtzmaru, you're right, we are all lucky to have had our papers processed so quickly... we should focus on that and stay positive... just think about all the nurses who have already taken their IELTS and were unable to make it to the cut-off date... may chismis pa na magbabago na naman ang rules nila come june of this year...

let's promise ha, wala tayong sungitan dito... ang sumuway ay kastiguhin agad ng magtanda hahahaha! and let's keep updating each other when we get to canada... it helps to share experiences... malay nyo, nagkita na pala tayo sa park hindi man lang tayo nagchikahan hahahaha!

heatspine is right... let's make use of our time waiting worthwhile... like anyone here who needs immunization forms for their kids, download nyo na sa CIC website... it should be signed by your pedia... you need to present this before your kids get admitted to school... and of course, there is the unending search for cheaper plane rates...

hi...thanks that i found fellow filipino's in this forum,,just wanna ask questions,actually nabasa ko lahat dito almost wait nlang ng visa ninyo?are you nurse here?..ano hoo bang immig consultan t ang ginamit ninyo?i mean what do you mean by CPNIS? actually im still completing na pursue my immig plan maybe in quebec kasi kahit walang job offer pwede?ilang months ba ang processing ng federal skilled nomination? and tanong klang may french langugae school ba dyan sa manila?,,,hope you can answer my query..

@ heatspine:    you are right, we have to move on.......with the seminars we had, we have something to do, not only waiting for our visas.......i had already taken my COA seminar this week, and its worth it to know so much more of the place we are dreaming of....additional knowledge for ours, since we are waiting here and they will give more things for us to search and learn.....from my experience with CIIP as of to date.....i have 2 waiting interviews (to be done when I arrived already and just make a call for the schedule) if I could make it until April 2011 and 2 more who called even though i am here pa.....and they are giving time to consider me until end of March 2011 for accepting the job offer......so let's make our time be fruitful kahit nandito palang tyo kasi very fast pace our life will be upon arriving there, may kasabihan don't wait for the apple to fall down, you have to pick it up if you want to taste it......spent more with your love one's here ( to the fact mahirap mawala sa isipan natin yung kailan darating ang visa but we should always remember it will arrive what ever happens and how long it would take we never know only the one upstairs will decide and we are only here to wait....
