hello everyone!
I'm new in this forum. member din ako sa p2c. It's nice to know na marami rin pala tayo n waiting for PPR kc kala ko konti lang tayo.  Nakita ko sa mga posts dito na kahit waiting for PPR tayo, andon n rin tayo sa final stage. Patience is the name of the game ika nga sa kabilang forum  May nakita akong post also sa kabila na yung nakakatanggap ng visas sa FSW ngayon na Pre-june 2010 ay yung mga may Medicals na September. Yung mga kasabay ko n nag-medicals ng November sana po makasabay ko kayo sa COA or PDOS. Parating na po ang PPR natin.

To Gandasia who started this thread madaming salamat po at meron tayong chance na magtipon. Just like mommyquiz galing at regular din ako sa Pinoy 2 Canada. I had my medicals done last December 2010 at first week of January 2011 when my medicals was submitted sa CEM. Sana magkaroon tayo ng definite date na magka sabay sabay sa COA. Ang mga nakasabay at nakilala ko sa CIIP last March 2011 ay may mga Visa na. Ang medicals nila is August 2010. Malamang malapit na din po tayo magka PPR. Wish ko lang umattend ng COA kapag meron na akong PPR. Pero kapag may PPR na po kayo it's okay that you proceed agad for COA.

Visa Processing Status Monitor
The Canadian Visa Office in Manila is yet to finish applications filed in 2004, currently processing Nov 2004 applicants. This is for applications filed before February 2008.

For those who filed between February 2008 to June 2010 under the first Ministerial Instruction and are still waiting for the notice from the Canadian Visa Office Manila, your patience is needed. It looks like the Canadian Visa Office in Manila is yet to cope up with the backlogs. There's no cap on the number of applications to be received under the first Ministerial Instruction. It was only implemented starting June 26, 2010. They may have received a huge volume of applications and that may explain the backlogs. Please avoid sending unnecessary and repetitive follow up to Visa Office, it will just make the situation worst. But you can always check your application status online.

Faithfully hopeful - why not, if thats what you want!! i understand how are you feeling... nakakapraning/ nakakalurkee maghintay... I've been waiting for my US application for more than 5 years pero antagal na!!, kaya nga nag-apply na din ako for Canada... Pero eto matagal din and we can't do anything about it.... Kung nauuna man yung mga post june2010...  unfair di ba??... but its not their fault naman eh...  So lets just be happy for them!!.. and continue to pray na darating din yung mga inaantay natin.

Yep I received a call before they emailed my PPR, nung una nde ko nasagot but I got the number from our caller id 857-900. Tinawagan ko agad yung number to confirm, yung nga CEM pala, pero parang operator yung sumagot and instructed me to wait dahil tatawag daw uli. The next day, tumawag na ulit  try mo call yung number, malay mo iba iba pala number ginagamit

among those in our list, bongaces and I are the most overdue... nakakadrain ng excitement and sobrang paghihintay...

one thing i learned in this process, there's nothing else we can do but to keep living life at its best without expecting much from the immigration application we're having...

i could have just enrolled my daughter in short term classes last school year because "based on the then trend" we may be in Canada before Christmas... Natapos nya na Nursery level nya, andito pa rin kami.

So I did not hesitate to enrol her for Kinder this coming school year... come what may, we'll just cross the bridge once we get there...

This is in response to your enquiry

For Federal Skilled Worker applicants who applied before February 27, 2008.

We have received enough Federal Skilled Worker applications since February 27, 2008 to reach our immigration levels for the next two years. Because they reflect Canada's current labour market needs, applications under the most recent set of ministerial instructions are processed on a priority basis. Therefore, few Federal Skilled Worker applications received before February 27, 2008 will be processed this year or next.

The exception is the small number of cases where federal skilled worker applicants have already received instructions to undergo their medical examinations. These applicants should receive a final decision within 12 months of completing their medical examination.

The Action Plan for Faster Immigration has helped reduce application backlogs and wait times. Before the Action Plan was introduced, Canada had a backlog of over 640,000 people in the federal skilled worker category waiting as long as six years to be processed. In just three years, we've been able to get more than 300,000 people out of the lineup - that's close to half those who were waiting.

When a Federal Skilled Worker application is due for assessment, our office will send a letter asking the applicant to submit updated information in support of the application. This new information will be reviewed by an immigration officer who will determine if you meet the requirements for immigration.
Please wait until you receive this letter before providing any new information relating to changes in your personal circumstances, additional dependents, new employment, education or new identity documents.

Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post or by email to the mailing and email addresses provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.
