MANILA V.O. ~~ done with MEDICALS and waiting for PPR (passport request)

Hello People Kinda confused this time on how to go about my Medical,
 
  The medical request i got says to include medical of the whole family members even if they er not going with me to Canada and my brother is in saudi and sister in Malaysia.
 
  Can some1 help me on how to get it fixed?

Hi..
 If you applied in a single status, I think no need to include your siblings. The medical request should be only for you.  I guess CEM don't provide you a medical request for your siblings.

Hi rhmanalili,

I'm not quite sure about that.  I just based my opinion on the statement written in the medical request letter that we received.  It says that " IMPORTANT:  In your signed application for permanent residence, you indicated funds that you will bring to Canada for settlement purposes.  At any time before the finalization of your application or before your landing in Canada, you may be required to demonstrate that these funds remain readily available for transfer or use in Canada.  Failure to satisfy this requirement could result in the refusal of your being granted permanent residence in Canada".


In our case they had requested the updated POF as we have new addition in our family.  Hope it helps..

I think I read that somewhere also...just would like to confirm if its a standard thing that CEM requires before issuing the visa or is it specific to those who had additional members added to the application (I also had my youngest daughter included in the application while in the middle of assessment).

best to wait it out and see the next instruction.

My undestanding of the medical requirement is that it only applies to your immediate family (wife and children). If still single, you may include in your application brothers/sisters below 18 years of age. So I think it would be from that perspective the medical examinations would have to be undertaken.

I think the VO's are trying to release the visas at least 5-6 months before visa expiry! Di ba til Sept po visa validity niyo? Pwede po malaman when kayo nagfile application? Thank you.

Feeling ko next week uulan na PPR's natin. crossing my fingers! Thank you Lord (in advance)   

not to put hopes down but i've heard of a case when the visa was returned 1 month before the expiry of the validity. hope no one gets to experience that as it would be a logistics nightmare to prepare to depart in 1 months time.

nothing is actually sure until the visa has been issued. as mentioned by ndpadin, CEM could request for an updated copy of the settlement funds (which could be grounds of not giving a visa if found insufficient).

i guess the key here is to be keen on the details and possibly cover all areas of breach.

Hi rich,

It is not a standard thing but may require if they think the need arises when they are about to finalize your application.  Also same with new additions in the family as the POF may change based on the updated number of dependents.  I've read also in the other forums that one of the applicants receives several request for the updated POF throughout the process.

Opo,tama ka til September pa validity ng visa q ..pinasa po ung application ng sis..q nung August 2009..less than 2 yrs din..kya guys,huwag kau mainip darating din po ung ryt time pra po sa inyo..aq almost 4 months naghintay ng PPR after ng medical q,tas after marequest..2 weeks lng,anjn na agad nagulat nga aq..ndi q expected..hehe..tas ngtaka pa q kc sa ecas q nung cheneck q the time na dumating na visa q eh still in process pa rin bka ndi pa cla naguupdate..

March 14 po nakalgay sa visa q tas valid po sya til September 23, 2011 that was the date when i was medical last year..
