I red the article, its says 'who are affected' but im sponsoring my spouse but her area was`nt affected by the calamity(flash flood)
is that exceptional or all of the people who lives in the Philippines who are being sponsored?
Mrsmyle, what do you think about my opinion? please reply

I think they will only have priority processing for those affected - I guess they'll base their decision on who was affected or not from the address of your spouse/partner.
Good luck in your application!

my mother in law lives on the coastline of laguna de bay and our place is heavily flooded but her house remains unflooded, but the floodwater will remain for at least three months and pose a risk to her health, is that enough reason since the description they had on their memo was "ADVERSELY" affected?

It is mostly a publicity stunt by our racist immigration minister Jason kenney. You basically have to live in Pasig city and almost nowhere else from what I have learned from calling to the Makati City Canadian embassy.
