Main Reasons of Refusal of Study Permit for Pakistani students that the Immigration Officer is not satisfied from below points:- (If you rectify it and give solid reasons, your processing time will be minimized like Indian students.)
1. Course Miss Matched 2. Income Problem 3. Unable to pay the Fees in Advance for desired course 4. Leave Canada or going for settlement purpose 5. Bona Fide Status 6. Current Employment Status 7. Purpose of Visit 8. Give Miss leading or false information 9. Unable to fulfill any requirements of study permit checklist such as: Study permit form IMM1294E Family information IMM5645E Two passport size photos (write name & date of birth on back side) Green receipt of CAD$125/- from Standard Charter Bank Photocopy of National Identity Card Original and Photocopy of Passport First semester or whole course fees is paid in advance (if applicable) Study Plan IELTS or TOFEL (Other course required by School/College/University) Letter of acceptance form School/College/University (Original+ photocopy) Birth certificate and Police Clearance Certificate (Original + photocopy) Original Educational documents (Original + photocopy) Affidavit regarding sponsor declaration, Affidavit regarding financial support of sponsor Bank statement (Duration is 6 months) Income Tax Certificate Cover letter regarding sponsorship declaration (Explain, why he is sponsoring you?) Any Reference Letter from Lecturer (last attending institution)
Note: I heard from many consultants and Visatronics Officer that if you apply for study permit for Canada, your educational documents, birth certificate and police clearance certificate must be attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Govt. of Pakistan for strongness of case. The Visa Officer only checks the complete package, in order to grant a study permit. Moreover, Visatronics officer told me that also submitted one photocopy of educational documents, birth certificate and police clearance certificate, otherwise if study permit is granted; the original documents are not sent to you. Make a checklist on legal page for convenience of visa officer in start of documents file or if you are not using file, kept documents in sequence of checklist. If you numbered the documents it's also help the immigration officer to search your documents very easily from file that will save you time.

Add some other reason of refusal..... 10. Travel history 11. Immigration status 12. Family ties in Canada or country of residence ( show family registration certificate and birth certificats of applicant, sponsor and family member)

Hi Wasim,
By family ties in country of residence, do you mean family ties in some country of residence apart from one's home country? Because I don't think residency in a country apart from Canada should be a big problem ... might even be an asset because it shows that you could ultimately settle down in that country rather than in Canada.

Dear buddy Many students are refused from pakistan that "your family ties in canada or country of residents"..... it is very logical point.............. Because such students are unable to submite there FAMILY REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE & BIRTH CERTIFICATS OF FAMILY MEMBERS or PICS or NICN.......... The VO think that there family member must ties in CANADA that's why there pakage is incomplete and refused ur case that he can not decided that "your family ties in canada or country of residents" so he is an 50:50 decision and may refused u...... Specially the Birth certificate of sponsor is compulsory..... if u are being sponsored by ur self.....show it FAMILY REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE & BIRTH CERTIFICATS OF FAMILY MEMBERS or PICS or NICN........it will strengthen ur case.... Moreover, if your family member is in CANADA & support from there..... so give his immigartion status, financial support papers and Bank statments, tax returns and property paper and work permit status, nationality status (if applicable), photocopy of passport, FAMILY REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE & BIRTH CERTIFICATS OF FAMILY MEMBERS or PICS or NICN.........etc. must received from Canada from sponsors/relatives...........etc

Dear Buddy I don't know, but "5 fingurs of hand or Wonders of the world is not alike" May be Gerry Fedx charge PKR 950+ from there client and customer. Hope they will copy your docs....... While, the visatronics charges are just PKR 600........ Moreover, i checked both web sites that there is a big differnce b/w visatronics and Gerry fedx required docs for study permit.....

@ Wasim --
Forget ties to Canada -- that's an obvious point that they'll refuse the visa on. I'm asking about ties to some country other than Pakistan, but not Canada.
I'm still not clear on what you're saying. Suppose someone's father is working somewhere outside Pakistan, e.g. in Saudi Arabia. Why would that be a reason to refuse the student's visa? If anything it shows that if the student definitely plans to leave Pakistan, the student is more likely to end up in Saudi Arabia rather than in Canada.
