Hey guys,

I wonder if anybody had mailing issues to the visa office. I have submitted my application permanent residence (AINP) to the regional program centre in Fort Erie, Ontario on May 16th of 2011 visa Canada Post priority next a.m. The tracking system still says that the package is somewhere in Ontario when it should be already delivered by now.

So requested an investigation to find out where the hell is my package now and the lady told me that the signature might have been lost somewhere so it is better for me to contact the regional program centre directly to figure it out. I talked to the office and there is no way that I can talk to someone for that matter so I emailed with my information hoping that someone can get me detailed information about the package. Also went to the bank where I got my bank draft from and it hasn't been cashed out yet.

It is so frustrating as hell. I'm just worried about if my package gets lost somewhere although the lady who's investigating my package said that there is very low chance it could happen. But it's super annoying!!  Sad

Has anyone had this mailing problem to Canadian Consulate General Immigration Regional Program Centre and the package got there somehow though the tracking system says it's not there yet? I sent it to there because my current address is in Canada.

Any help appreciated!!

Thanks! Have a great weekend!

Already contacted Canada Post and they are investigating it. Today I got a phone call from the investigator saying that the signature may have been lost somewhere in their system. So I could do either:

1. Wait for Canada Post until they find the signature or
2. Go to the local bank branch to find out whether the bank draft is already cashed out or
3. Wait for response from the regional program centre.

The investigator also said that they may have already received the package although their tracking system says it's not delivered yet.

I'm confused but hope that somehow it got there!

Have you contacted Canada Post ondang2? If haven't, I would recommend you to do so. Then they will investigate what's happening with your package. I think all they do is that the digital signature comes up to their system. At least that's what they are doing for my case according to the lady I talked to. It's so annoying and damn frustrating. I guess somehow their system got screwed or something.

if you send it to PO Box in Fort Erie you cannot request signature because that is a mailbox address and nobody there to sign. that could be the reason why the tracking got messed up.

if you want signature you have to send it directly to buffalo where someone will sign for your package.

buffalo cic clearly mention this on their website. PO Box in Fort Erie cannot accept courier services.

hello ondang2 have you got any latest info on your passport? Just curious it's been about 8 weeks and postal strike is over. I haven't received any information yet. I've been going to the bank to check if my draft is cashed. No luck. Sad I'm just checking if your mail has got there. Thanks!

It generally takes 6~8 weeks for CIC-Buffalo to encash the draft after they have received your application. If your mail got delayed to reach Buffalo due to CanadaPost strike, the timeframe of 8 weeks for draft to be cashed may not work for you; it may take longer. Moreover, Buffalo is very unwilling to communicate unless a file has been created. So, getting confirmation from CanadaPost end seems more feasible.

Hello Rossei. I sent my package before postal strike via priority next A.M. And for some system error or something the confirmation got lost. I've already talked to Canada Post a number of times, and they can't find the confirmation. Also, apparently sometimes these guys don't do singing at all. Anyways I'm hoping that my package is already there and will be processed in several weeks. Thanks!

Usually they receive it but don't get back to you until they are ready to issue the AOR.
