Hey guys I need your opinion please.I have new passport and I wrote a name and address at the last page for incase of emergency contact ..but the person I wrote changed address.then I used white out for his address then wrote a new address..is this a problem when my visa process to canada?or they may ask me to change new passport?Thanks for help.Good day!

this is definitely a problem dude! i been in exact same situation few weeks ago cuz i was suppose to travel in an emergency! Got my passport made and screwed up page 4 with a white-out! According to Passport Canada YOUR PASSPORT IS VOID!!!!!! U CANNOT TRAVEL WITH THAT, and that's wat i learnt few days before my flight, i had to redo my passport application this time with RUSH service and the lengthier one and had to go to a lawyer get statutory declaration signed and also had to get a guarantor, DUDE u gotta do all this. Furthermore I didnt wanna screw up my $6,000 business class air ticket in case they denied me boarding!!! |

i think u didnt get it the FISRT time, u gotta redo ur passport WITH statutory declaration of an attorney with a GUARANTOR!! |

What you need to do depends on the rules of the country that issued the passport. Check THEIR rules first and it should tell you what to do.

Hmn, you could have read this http://www.ehow.com/how_6707773_fix-errors-canadian-passport-application.html first? Notice it plainly says do not use correction fluid in both the "before submission" and "after submission (on an existing passport)" sections... |

I see. Is it the new machine-readable one? Maybe you could check the pages to see if there is anything written about correcting errors (or just call the embassy/Department of Foreign Affairs in your country?). I am holding a philippine passport and applying canada visa.
