Los Angeles - In Person Tourist Visa

Hi,

I plant to Renew my H1B visa in Vancouver office, looking to do same day Canada Visa in Los Angeles. Does anyone have any experience with this lately? Website says 30 days due to new system but I've seen posts here saying same day is still possible in Buffalo. Wondering if the same applies to LA or Seattle.

I plan to take my mom application with me in NYC....naturally i plan to go early...i am not from a country with long waiting period...what your estimated time frame i be able to collect her passport ?

You will get it same day. If they have heavy load of work,then next day for sure.

Thought i would share my experience:

Went to LA consulate, submitted the application for tourist visa on Aug 11th, 2011 (Thursday) with return envelope and i received the passport back on Aug 16th, 2011 (Tuesday) with visa stamped.

Things to know:

Walk in for visitors applications are accepted at LA consulate from Monday-Friday (8:30 - 10:30 am)
Applicants who do walk in on Thursday and Friday  @  LA consulate will receive the passport back only on Monday afternoon (check website for passport collection).
