Loonie leaps to nearly 4-year high

The Canadian dollar rose to a 3½-year high in early trading Tuesday as investors continued to focus on the United States's debt deadlock.
The loonie was up more than half a cent to 106.24 cents US, its highest level since early November 2007.

But unless you are immigrating from Australia, it won't directly impact the funds that you have to prove or your savings transfer Smiley

People carrying Aussie doesn't have to be immigrating from Australia! Many people hold multi currencies in their bank accounts too.

Yes, this makes me unhappy -as all our funds are US funds -so hubby will start working in a month IN Canada and save money there whilst I spend here in the US while our house sells. At some point, we will though - lose money, with the sale of our home and transfer of those funds and retirement accounts, investments, ect.
