1122 Professional Occupations in Business Services to Management    1,000

Most number of rejections will be from this list as fool IT/Biz Management aspirants applied to that NOC and thought that they'd be taken into count lol.

is this data a good sign for backlog applicant?
another calculation: maximum application per noc is 1000 per year. so if we multiply 29 by 1000 then result is 29,000 which is more than their annual terget of 20,000 Shocked. am i wrong? sorry to say that i am not good at math but i dont understand what is their purpose to say that.
anybody expalin me please!

look at it this way : the total number of applications accepted will be 20000, that too 1000 per NOC. so its obvious that some NOC will not make it to 1000 !

Fractional distillation???  Sounds like something from the Pharmacy thread!!  I'm obviously NOT a numbers person!  I didn't know what Farima meant at the start of the post.  Yes, originally, some NOC's would not reach 1000 as the 20,000 cap would be reached (9,000 spread over 20 something NOCs probably), but the way the caps are filling, many think they will not even reach 20,000 with the present NOCs.  This is good news for the less popular NOCs as it allows those applicants time to get their papers in order and make strong applications without feeling rushed.  Also good news for those whose applications have been lost by CIO or returned and lost by postal service or just returned and need to make adjustments and reapply.
Whether or not this is good news for the backlog, I would say it is good news.  The fewer applications CIO receives in 2010, the more resources they have to deal with applications on hand.  My nickel (2 cents + HST)
