Let's gather here guys. And I would like to ecourage all concerned to order CAIPS. I just received my CAIPS and my BFD is set on March 25, 2011. As with the comment of many members, seems a mistake, since I applied under the new rules. To compare it with the CAIPS of others who are sailing on the same boat as mine will give me an idea if indeed it was a mistake or not. Are we waitng for our meds few days or months from now? or few years from now?? Let's order CAIPS guys please... Thanks..

If your meds have not been issued yet, you cannot find any indication in your CAIPS when the medicals can be issued. If your meds have been issued, you can find in your CAIPS the date when it was issued. There are cases where medical forms are being sent and were lost along the mailing process. CAIPS will prompt you that medical forms are lost. CAIPS will give you information if you passed the 67 points assessment. Seeing your score, you will be given an idea if wether you will be expecting for a medical request or a rejection letter. There is also the BFD (Bring forward date), where everyone speculated that this is the date that the IO will next open your file, but with my experience seems this is a misconception and I proved it myself by the words from London CHC stated in their e mail reply to me. I asked an enquiry to them because my CAIPS indicates my BFD is set on March 25, 2011, even if my application falls under the supposedly fast track system. CAIPS will also tell you if all the details like the names, BOD, passport numbers, etc are entered correctly in their files. There are cases too that applications are delayed due to encoding errors from CIC's part. If you have done your medicals, you will find in the CAIPS if you passed, failed or a retest is to be requested. With all the unfortunate delays happened to many applicants, I have concluded that ordering CAIPS from time to time is a good pro active measures to avoid delays with the application.

Well Aspire thanks for all this valueable info. I dont have much knowledge on subject. Can u plz tell me how to order the CAIPS? Do u have to pay for that? reading ur post, i have perceived, one can order CAIPS once his/ her detailed application has been received by visa office, am i right?

Thanks in advance

UPDATE WITH MY CASE

After 11 months from submission of full documents and after 10 months from the date my e cas status changed to in process, I received a document request from CHC London yesterday. Letter is dated May 5, 2010. My wife is the principal applicant and CHC asked us to submit photocopies of my (spouse) certificate + transcript of records for my bachelor's degree. These documents were already submitted to them 11 months ago. Well, I don't have any choice but to comply. I sent these documents yesterday.

BFD IS NOT WHAT WE THINK IT IS?
In December 2009, I ordred CAIPS notes which I received in January 2010. And from that CAIPS I found out that the “Bring Forward Date' BFD was set on March 25, 2011. I thought I won't be hearing anything from them before the BFD but it turned out that the IO opened my file between January 2010 and May 5, 2010. Certainly they did, because they sent us the request for documents.

I DID SOMETHING THAT FORCED THEM TO OPEN MY FILE?

Sometime in the last week of March 2010, I sent them the request to change our intended destination province from Ontario (originally written in our application) to Manitoba. Together with the request, I attached the letter from the College of  Registered Nurses of Manitoba (Nursing Regulating Body of Manitoba) that they had assessed my wife's educational credentials (Bachelor's degree in Nursing) and found it to be equivalent to that of Canadian Standards and had given My wife one year to sit for the Canadian Registered Nurse Examination. We asked them to expedite our application to bear the deadline set by CRNM. I think because of this they opened my file way before the BFD set?

ANY OPINION PLEASE...
Why did they ask again the same document which I already had submitted? From today how many months will I receive my medical request? Any opinion will be most welcomed and thanked.

I ordered my first CAIPS notes through www.caipsnotes.com. The fee is $40. Just follow the three simple steps in their website.

You cannot get so much information from your CAIPS if you will get it just few weeks after the submission of full documents. As a general practice, CAIPS is ordered once you feel that there is already a delay in your process, or if you have any doubts with your application.

Hi David,

I am from Riyadh KSA. Yup, CAIPS will tell you if your medicals have been issued already or not. It is the IM 1017S in your CAIPS(if I remember it right). As mentioned earlier there are many applicants whose applications were denied bacause they were not able to receive their medical forms after CIC mailed it to them.

I ordred my caips through www.caipsnotes.com.

hi aspire

Will your wife be able to take the CRNE on a tourist visa? I thought you have to be a PR or citizen in order to take it.

Hi JM09,

Friend our time lines are some what similar. I sent case specific inquiry during third week of May and waiting for reply. I got automatic reply which says.. they need 28 days to reply.. bla.. bla.... Whats ur opinion? whether I should also order for CAIPS? My full docs submission date is Jan 9th (Recd by London) and London AOR date is Jan 26th... Till now my status is "Received by Visa Office".... No idea why this much delay....

Am waiting for your CAIPS order reply..... Get in touch dear...
