One of my family members has Diabetes type 2. They asked for a serum creatinine & defining the type of Diabetes. According to my knowledge that is routine when someone is Diabetic.

Our Ecas status hasn't changed; no extra lines

My updated documents that have been requested with the MR have been received this morning (8:30am) at the London Visa Office (sigend by Jean)! According to the Medical practise my test results should arrive at the LVO Monday, latest Tuesday.

Waiting for my third line. Starting now...

Great! Please let us know when the results are delivered to London.
Don't worry about 3rd line too much. Some applicants who did meds in June already received PPR and their ECAS is still not updated to "Meds received".

This email is to request that you do not submit the passport at this time. The officer in charge of the application has determined that further background checks will be required which will likely take at least a month to complete.

God knows.  
They never specify what exactly they mean by background checks and I prefer not to propose any hypotheses because only people working at visa offices can decipher the exact meaning of this message. The only obvious thing is that this is a security issue because I am quebec skilled worker; the visa offices only conduct criminal and medical checks on us as all employment and education checks were done by Quebec immigration bureau before I applied to the visa office.
